Arnav don't know about love before he met khushi and he even don't trust in marriage he trust only Live in relationship that means he accept physical contact with women but not forcible, like that lavanya also. He totally changed when khushi entered in his life , He loves khushi and also accept all marriage rituals for her.
Now Arnav was changed he loves khushi. I think when he was studied in oxford university ,London he have live in relation ship with another girl so called chote ASR's mother (or) he done a mistake in a party when he was in drunken state.
