Here's what I think,
First of all, remember all those rumours about Daljeet quitting, Barun quitting (multiple times) etc?
Now think, when does these rumours take place? When they are in contract negotiation. A negotiation does not always means that a decision is made.
It's natural for Barun to re-negotiate his contract. Think about it. He was signed up for this shrewd and smart ASR who was the sharpest tack in business and in personal life.
Now what do we see on screen?
Shyam beats his ass on daily basis. Some phangirls squeal he is in lau...
But darlings, most of us have been in love before, did we turn stupid?
No. Even if you are in love but you live with a cobra, you don't forget the impending danger around you. There is one word which is really needed here... MULTITASKING.
Romance and flirt all you want, but what is stopping you to shed some cash from your account (if in dire financial state, then curtail your Di's designer outfit expenses) and use them to hire a decent detective to gather proof against Shyam so that you can kick him out of your home once and for all?
Even Khushi knew to go to a detective agency when you were kidnapped. The poor girl did not even have money for it. And ASR having the power, money and resources can't do that? CVs, did you forget along the way of scripting confusing scripts that ASR is a BUSINESS TYCOON?
So obviously Barun would want to re-negotiate. He'd want his character to come back with the brain that was showed in the first episode where he crushed his uncle like a bug? What is stopping him to do that to Shyam?
CVs need to show Barun's character with the same brain power, we all have been expecting from him towards Shyam, instead of a helpless woman.
I guess, that could be the purpose of negotiation. But like I said, wait until official announcement to jump to conclusion.
Movie business is not as easy as it looks. It takes serious efforts and time to break into it. He won't leave a show that made him who he is for unpredictable Bollywood.
No person with a sane mind would quit steady income of daily soaps and immense fan following for uncertain movie industry with only a low budget movie under his belt. Now if it was a Yash Chopra or Karan Johar productions, that's a different story. But this is a low budget movie with a bunch of unknown actors. You think, Barun would want to quit his show for that?
But I agree he has an edge in negotiation as UK tickets to meet Barun has started selling. If he backs out, people will demand money and Star Plus will receive many negative publicity. They won't let it happen. The channel won't let Production House to bring down their reputation like that.
On the other hand, production house won't let him go so easily if they can negotiate when most of the people watch this show because of Barun and Sanaya's on screen chemistry. Let's just wait and see, I'm sure if they could come up with solution for Daljeet, they will come up with solution for Barun as well. So relax until Barun or Gul Khan confirm the news.
