Hi Kernal,
I have been debating on whether I should make another post or not and I have decided that it is a little necessary.
First of all, the whole team, be it the CVs, cameramen, actors and heck even the spot boys, know and genuinely appreciate the love that we get from the audience. We are literally nothing without your support. IPKKND started out as an idea that we wanted to share with the public, spending countless hours on it to make sure we could portray the beauty of it on screen in such a way that it connects with the audience. The amount of happiness we felt when we first realized what the magnitude of the show had become had no limits. We have always said that it is our "baby" and today I can proudly say that it isn't our baby any more, it is yours. You all make it what it is and we are extremely proud of the fact that people living in different parts of the world are connected through it.First of all - Thank you for this. As a fan who was extremely disappointed by the whole 'dekhna hain to dekho' fiasco this has brought a smile to my face. I have always believed that respect is earned not given - and these few words believe it or not are enough to have many of us 'respecting' said actors, CV's, Spot-boys, camera-men and even the night guards who make sure the sets don't get robbed.Respect - Earned.Second of all, I had made a post that was meant to clarify a few things. At the time I made the post, the consummation was not a topic that had been fully decided on. We felt that it was not the right time for it. However, we were not completely sure. You see, sometimes the storyline is changed over night if the need be. The reason that scene was shot the way it was shot was because we were still playing around with the future track. We wanted to keep our options open. And this is why i have said time and time again that IPK is a cut above the rest. I still don't believe 'that' was the consummation scene - Given that the old writers are apparently back alongside the Merlin of IPK-land aka Lalit Mohan, I actually expect a dash of the ankle/payal flashback via the 'thora dard hoga' dialogue. Lets see how that goes.đAlso, I noticed a few posts questioning the need to make such a clarification post. I guess some people did not understand that why we felt the need to clarify something with the online audience when the online audience is a small portion of the full viewership. So let me clarify. IPKKND is a show that is internationally more popular than nationally. The audience also consists of people that do not understand the language, are not of Indian descent etc. We love to connect with the audience even if it is a small portion. In a way it is our way of showing our gratitude.Once again.Respect - Earned. We are quite aware that the show had not been up to its usual standards so we are making an effort to bring it to the top. Honestly people, are literally working day and night to make sure that happens. Seriously, IPKKND is just not a show, it is a phenomenon. And we will make sure that it stays that way dammit! That the cast and crew are not only aware but humble enough to accept this fact is probably a huge Saving Grace right now.Respect - Earned Dammit!Furhermore, Barun Sobti is not quitting nor are there talks going on about him quitting. This rumour has completely struck us by surprise. There are certain types of "media" that make news out of nothing so please do not let those outlets dishearten you all.If something this drastic was to take place, we owe it to you all to let you know. Lalit Mohan was brought in for two weeks to help direct certain sequences, there are no ego clashes occurring behind the scenes...lets not fuel more rumours! As they say, you know you're doing something right when people try to tear you down. However on the LM issue I'm just going to re-post a letter I really hope he reads. The letter is not intended to hurt the sentiments of any of the other very very hard working members of the team but given the magic this man seems to weave - I believe he deserves this -Dear Mr. Lalit Mohan,
I understand that you must be getting a million email's/messages right now, and I realize that there is a very very low chance that you will read this, but I'm going to send it in anyway. I came across IPKKND much later than I wish I had, I was flipping channels at a friend's house when the payal/ankle scene came up.
And in that one minute â I knew there was something special about YOUR show.
Yes YOUR show. Because no one plays with the side-characters and the miniscule details like you do. Because no one can turn Barun Sobti into ASR and Sanaya into the wounded but strong-willed Khushi like you do. Because I honestly believe NO ONE can put as much pure unadulterated LOVE into a shot and onto a screen as you can.
And you are humble enough to do all of that and still acknowledge your fans.
You have been back for 15 days, and I am already learning to love Mamiji, Buaji, Garima and Payal with a fierce loyalty, I would not have expected.
And yet in a way I DID expect it. For no other reason but that YOU were directing. You are a master storyteller, and you are an unparalleled director. You are Merlin and IPK is your Avalon.
I am not here to flatter you. I believe that unlike other directors, you are one who thrives on criticism not false prose. I believe this because the best usually fail to realize that when we compliment them it is not mere prose â it is FACT.
Instead I would merely like to say that I am willing to bet YOU care about IPK much more than you let on. After all IPK truly is YOUR baby in a way. You took a script that could have been an obscure show about a hero who never measured up and gave us a man we ache to see laugh. You wove magic. So if not for us, if not for the fans â could you not maybe âreconsider- staying on at IPK for the mere reason that without you IPK is as incomplete as it would be without 'Rabba Ve' â perhaps even MORE so.

Confession time. The future track of IPKKND has been changed and reworked so please don't lose hope and please enjoy the show. Promise it will be worth it!- Owning up to errors in judgement and taking steps to fix them - THIS - is why I'm hoping the next fan-girl letter I write will be to the writers. Respect - Earned, yet again. The appearance of things change according to the emotions and thus we see magic and beauty in them, while the magic and beauty really are in ourselves- Kahlil GibranHow about a quote for a quote?"Some fans feel love in their hearts, Some of us feel it all way into our souls. We're the ones who can't forget."? Paraphrased from Judith McNaught's - Paradise

hello kernal,
thanks for the update on the who's and why's you do what you do. so basically, since you didnt want to make it seem like consummation and didnt want to make it seem like it wasn't, the audience was correct in assuming it was, since you wanted to leave it open for future use. You see, gutter minds aren't always there to begin with, sometimes we are lead.
thanks for the news on Barun. 10001 sources including Barun say he is not quitting, but one rabid washed up IF member with an ulterior motive creates hysteria. Tempest in a teacup.
I dont really care too much about the angle or track to come, but I will say that marriage is not the end of a love story. If you think you can change it to family drama and maintain international status, it ain't happening. Do whatever you want, but what the worldwide and national audience wants to see is the end of Shyam. That idiot villain with a twitch is useless and the viewers are now primed to see him go.
thanks for visiting us mere IF members
