CVs it is high time you should take a decision.What do you want to do with IPKKND?You can either show a love story or a Saas Bahu saga were the Bahu is tortured by her in laws.
IPKKND was initially promoted as a love story.And the viewers mainly consisted of youths.But due to its freshness and way of story telling many Saas Bahu lovers started to watch it.It was a change for Saas Bahu lovers.No wonder this show achieved ratings ranging from 4.6-4.80 during January and February.It beat the other show in the rival channel at that time.
But then you decided to make it a love+Bahu torturing story.And with the hate marriage the TRP started to drop.The youths could not take the husband torturing his wife for the sake of his sister.And the Saas Bahu lovers tuned in to the other channel.Because they watched this show as a love story.
And as a result the ratings started to dip.It reached to 2.5.But after the union of ArShi the ratings did rise a bit.We were waiting for a redemption track.But then you again headed towards the Bahu torturing track focusing on a jealous SIL.You brought a Dadi to torture the female lead.But nothing were accepted the audience.Do you know why?Because the target audience of this show do not want to see the female getting insulted every time.They can watch child bride for that.If you want to compete against child bride then you have to show something different as the first 185 episodes showed.
By love story I did not mean a story having just two characters romancing all the time.Of course there will be a family.But the family will be a part of the love story.The love story should not be a part of family drama.There will be a strong male and female lead.The female lead will give tit for tat to the male lead and do not accept any abuse.
But right now in IPKKND the hero does not go to office.He hides under his sister's Pallu.He can only shout at his wife but can not defeat the villain.The heroine is a doormat who is ready to sacrifice her life.Come on Cvs nobody want to watch such weak characters.
Take your decision.What do yo want to show?A love story or a Saas Bahu saga.Both will not work at the same time.
P.S.:Right now you want to show the heroine is so naive to trust a murderer.The hero is still unable to get the villain inside jail.The evil SIL is still continuing her hunger strike.And again loads of insults for the female lead.This is not going to work this way CVs.Mark my words.
