Lately I'm been reading a lot of anti-Daljeet and anti-Anjali posts for 'getting too much unnecessary screen space' for 'being the new lead' and these posts get quite a number of likes and comments
To all those such posts, I'm sorry but I don't agree with them the slightest.
Why? Because for the past 1 year, it's always been about Arshi.
Arnav this, Khushi that. Arshi this, Arshi that.
As much as I love them,but, now after 1 year, I don't want to see them 24/7. Its not that I've grown tired of them. On the contrary, its that I don't want to get tired of them, which is why I'm saying this.
You might say I'm not making sense, but if you keep getting the same dish every day, you'll end up getting bored with it, no matter how much you say you love it in the start. And I don't ever want to get bored with Arshi romance. So little doses of their romance every day works great for me.
Now we come to the main matter. The non-Arshi related stuff.
There are a lot of questions going through my head, when I think of the non-Arshi matters, e.g. why are people angry that Daljeet is getting screen space? Because the way I look at it, she's been portraying Anjali for the last year and had substantial screen space before, but I didn't read any complaints then.
Why now?
Is it because she's not the cupid anymore?
If so, then my only reaction would be
'Seriously?? Your joking, right?'
Is she just supposed to make sure that Chotte gets hitched with Khushiji, and not have problems of her own?
That's quite unrealistic, to me.
I'm actually extremely happy with how everything is going. How everything is, I'm proud that I'm an IPKKND? fan.
You've be like 'Is she insane? All we're getting is Poojali, Snakewa and Stopwa and she's happy?"
To my statement, I have a very sound reasoning. Lets look at it.
3 tracks are going on parallel.
Arnav's past.
Shyam's attempt to get back to Shantivan.
Arnav and Khushi wedding.
And more or less, each track is getting a third of the screen space.
Which I think is quite fair, because, you can't just have Arshi in the whole of 20 minutes of the episode.
Why? Because that would mean that Arnav's past and Shyam's attempts are trivial matters that can be overlooked and not given the necessary screen space to explore these problems.
However, they are not. They are not trivial. They need to show them to make people realize that they are playing an important role in the story.
Also, in the matter of individual screen space, I only see poor Daljeet being dragged through the mud. That makes me extremely ashamed of our treatment of Daljeet, who is as much a dedicated actor as Sanaya or Barun. So why is she individually cornered and victimized of the fandom backlash? Why not the rest? I mean there are people other than Daljeet who are apparently 'stealing' Arshi romance-time, so why is it just her? If you want to put blame on someone, then at least be fair and put it on everyone who is not Arshi, because they too are 'stealing' Arshi's limelight...
To those who are wondering at what I am basing my statements, well it's the facts that back up my statement.
How so?
Swati (Dadi), Barun (ASR), Jayshree (Nani), Pyumori (Garima), Abhaa (Buaji) and Utkarsha (Mamiji) get screen space when the topic is of Arnav's past.
Daljeet (Anjali), Barun (ASR), Sanaya (Khushi), Abhaas (Shyam) get screen space when the topic is Shyam's deceit
Barun (ASR) and Sanaya (Khushi) get screen space when its topic is of Arshi romance.
Payal (Deepali), Aakash(Akshay) and N.K.(Karan) don't have a definite category. They get a little supporting role in either of the topics, where a push is needed to move the story ahead...
Correct it if I'm wrong, out of all these topics mentioned, if your look at the no. of (definite) occurrence,
Barun is in 3 out of 3,
Sanaya is in 2 out of 3.
Daljeet, Abhaas, Swati, Jayshree, Utkarsha, Pyomori, Abhaa are in 1 out of 3.
That clearly means that the show is still dominated by Arnav and Khushi/ Barun and Sanaya. Whether is them or about them. Its still Arshi/Sarun that dominates it.
So when your go so far as to say that Daljeet should be kicked out of IPKKND? or replaced, you might as well be fair and ask the same for Abhaas, Swati, Jayshree, Utkarsha, Pyomori, Abhaa , because after all, they too are on level ground as Daljeet and'steal' the infamous Arshi-romance time.
Then, we'll be left with only Arshi and its just gonna kill what magic IPKKND? has on all the fans.
*Has an epiphany*
Okay, lets assume that your wish came true and the whole Anjali pregnancy never happened or that Arnav's past is never brought in question or that Shyam didn't try to come back into Shantivan.
Where would the story go? The answer I expect to get would be, Arshi lovestory.
But my question is, then what? I mean, they'll have a happily ever after and then what?
People might not have noticed but 'and they lived happily ever after...' is usually the last line of the fairy tale. So even if you don't agree with me, then at least for the sake of seeing IPKKND? air for a few more years and seeing Arshi romance for a hundreds of more scenes, bear the story even if you don't like the parallel tracks.
Because I wanna see this show run for years and love it!
Also I'm requesting is that look at the pros and the cons before you make another frustration post because it can be very hurtful and insensitive. Also, please try using the frustration thread it you have something to complain about. It was made for a reason. Also refrain from using Caps. Its considered as shouting and that it very uncivil and impolite, because other people too can have an opinion.
