You have a point & you are justified in making them, but I would also like to make my feelings known on this particular subject. I'm in no way bashing your post but trying to lay down my viewpoints. This is what I'd posted on another member's post & I think that it applies here as well.

There no denying that worse things happen in reality, but this is just a 20 min. show & when people like me sit down to watch it, we have certain expectations, we want to see our beloved characters face their trials & tribulations, & come out triumphant, if a little bruised & battered. Moreover, if this show had been like any other show, be it ekta kapoor's or someone else's (i've not seen any of her's ever, but i've heard about all that goes on in them from the members here), things like miscarriage, suicides & twisted story lines would have been the norm, & the audience would not have been shocked & disgusted with the current turn of events.

The the very fact that this story was advertised to be an intense love story of 2 poles apart & strong characters, & which it delivered in the first 6 mn.s or so, but now it's just like any other run of the mill drama, is what gets to the true fans of this show. It was not suppose to be like this. We know Shaym is evil & an obsessed sociopath, but it was never suppose to be about him or even Anjali, though she's suppose to be the parallel lead. Arnav & K were suppose to be the cornerstone of this drama/love story & though i'm n no way saying that the side characters should not be given their own story, their drama should in no way overshadow the main leads. That's where creative writing comes in, the operative word, being 'creative'.

I'm not a creative person, but even I can come up with a thousand different scenarios for shyam's entry into RM & none of them involve the killing of an innocent baby, or any of the harebrained ideas that shyam seems to come up with. No harm in creating drama, but one needs to do it in a manner that does not compromise the essence of the story, mainly the Arshi love story. Everyone harps on the fact that anjali's character is suppose to be weak, dependent & emotionally unstable, but it's high time that the CVs show her trying to come out this funk, especially when the truth was revealed to her. That was the perfect opportunity for the CVs to show her trying to gather the pieces of her broken trust & life & making a move on. Once again i go back to my point of the audience wanting to see their beloved character try to rise above their miseries.
So many, many missed opportunities of making this serial a cut above the rest, just because the creatives opted to choose the easy way out & turn his once awesome love/hate story to the tripe that it has become today.

If they wanted to make it a crime show, then that's what they should have advertised it as.
Not as a love story!

A love story has many facets. Two people cannot live in glorious isolation and keep on "rabba ve"ing each other - this ain't the Blue Lagoon. They live in a joint family and the dynamics of the other family members surely affect them.

Anjali is the most important person in Arnav's life (she still can be you know even if he loves Khushi!) A tragedy befalling her will devastate him. How will he deal with that, plus sustain his love for Khushi?

I for one will watch the coming episodes with great interest.

I know miscarriages and foeticide by the father happens in the real world. But then I thought this was a love story and not crime fiction. Ok, if the CVs really wanted to incorporate this angle in the story, they should do it logically without compromising the main ArHi story. Firstly, the way Shyam was able to so easily enter a rich tycoon's house was totally unbelievable. Shouldn't ASR arrange for strict security measures at his home?
And then Shyam's plan to cause the miscarriage itself was very silly. What if Anjali doesn't come into the room and not step on those glass pieces? And why couldn't Anjali not have called/phoned the family for help once she got hurt? What was the need to walk down the stairs esp since she knows she is pregnant plus handicapped? Why would she take such a risk? All this doesn't seem logical. And the wire...what if Anjali did not hold onto it? The plan was a very silly one and not foolproof and yet the CVs showed it to be successful!!
And lastly, what was Shyam's motive to do all this? Is it really just to get back back into the house? But I don't understand how all this will achieve this purpose... but I'm sure the CVs could have showed Shyam getting through into RM by some other means.
Anyways, although such things happen in the real world, the CVs have executed it badly... and that is why it becomes difficult for many to accept this in the show...

i tend to agree with you here.
Once there is no romance in the episode - we get "bash bash bash"

Romance full time in the episode- we get "awww so romantic "

we all know the real world around us very well,,,,,,,,
and if we want to see the reality stuff only then there r many other shows like crime petrol etc... why do we watch iss pyaar ko...
i think we all watch it so that we can see our fantasies coming true somewhere on this earth...
iss pyaar ko is a different show... we all watch it to relax ourselves 4m the sucking world around us... it brings some positivity in us... n i am not bashing anyone its just that shyam doesnt love anjli is fine but killing his own baby is damn cruel😡... though we came across such thing in real life but we dont expect this in our show...🤢
