Beautiful write-up. You can also look at it this way. Khushi is a far more conservative girl and so does not make the first moves. Arnav on the other hand is just the opposite so you tend to see him becoming more physical in terms of showing his love such as kissing, hugging and the bits.

It's a very good point.. I agree..

I have thought about it a lot of times..

- From the moment she tried to leave RM, he was hell-bent on getting her back.. and one day in anger, when she said I dont consider you my husband.. he started the whole kissing game.. I will make you my wife.. and then that did make me wonder.. is he doing all this just to get into her pants?

- From the moment Dadi entered, Arnav was angry at her.. she was mad at Khushi.. so was Arnav defending her just a way to make Dadi angrier.. the way he had brought up the live-in relationship with Lavanya in order to make Nani angry!

Does Arnav really love Khushi?

The answer could be no.. if the CVs want it to be..

But of course I'm sure everyone will agree with me if I say we want it to be yes ..

We want them to be happy.. they both love each other..

Yes, I have thought about these questions so many times and worried.. but then I tell myself..

no, is not lust, it is love.. yes... love of the purest kind!!

Let's go back to the night of Shyam's confrontation..when he hugged Khushi back and then watched her sleep on his hand.. that was love.. when he sat with Khushi on the stairs.. that was love.. after he gave her those gifts on Rakshabandhan, the hug after seeing her tears.. that was love too! Remember he didn't try to make out with her at any of these occasions! He was being there for her and accepting that she was being there for him!!

And let's go back to the days of the kidnapping.. when he was thinking of Khushi.. where was the lust there.. she wasn't even present there.. he wasn't thinking of making out with her then.. ? He missed her.. and when he thought he won't be able to see her.. her thoughts haunted him.. he wanted to see her..

don't forget the dialogue -

"Every time I was near you, I was in a hurry to go away from you.

But now that I am away from you, I just want to be with you.

I dont need anything else, Khushi.. I don't need anything else!"

Now you might ask, then what was that what happened in the hut? Yes, he wanted to kiss her.. In the one week he was away from her, Arnav realized that his life was incomplete being away from her.. that he couldn't live without her.. and he thinks he will never see her again and never be able to express his love for her! .. and then he sees that she risked her life to find him.. he realized that she loved him.. he was overwhelmed with happiness at realizing that he loved her and she loved him.. he wanted to show her that love.. if it was lust.. do you think he would have asked her to change because her sleeve was torn? would he have gone and found those fireflies because she was scared of the dark??

When he was walking away from her at the airport and thinking of going back to her.. was it out of lust.. he wasn't going back to make out with her then either.. he missed her just by being away from her.. he realized then that it will hurt to be away from her!

Even during the MU.. let's not forget the few moments they shared.. he didn't let her fall down the stairs or off the recliner.. he didn't let her head hit the bed while she was taking coins from under it.. he didn't want her worrying about him, he didn't want her to kill herself, he didn't want her to hurt herself.. etc etc ... remember he was even sleeping away from her.. all that while! If what he felt towards her was lust.. then he would have attacked her out of hatred... raped her the moment he realized that she was cheating on him.. no, it was out of his love for her (and yes, his possessiveness) ..that he realized the he had to marry her!

And now let's go back to the days before the MU.. remember the things he did for her.. he never once tried to kiss her after Diwali.. yes, the Diwali one was attraction, though again we know he loved her before that - remember this guy put the coins in her detergent box to see her happy, he paid her Babuji's bills, he couldn't bear to see her tears .. ! Again being attracted .. physical pleasure is a form of love too! That reminds me of my Arshi love saga - The challenge !

Yes, now the kiss on mehndi day.. wasn't lust.. that was him being naughty.. and making her realize her feelings for him!

Do we need more proof to decide that what Arnav feels is love?

So yes, it might seem that he is doing all these rasams just to finish off with the rasams, so that he can finally have his suhaag raat.. but that thought depresses me! 😭 I could be wrong, but I will keep telling myself that all that Arnav is doing nowadays, he is doing it out of his love for Khushi.. because there is nothing more important to him now than his Khushi's khushi!! (yes, I say.. not even his Di, though he hasn't realized that yet!)

Now you might say, oh look at her, defending Arnav.. because he is hot.. and she drools over him... nope, I am defending true love.. the purest form of love.. that wins over everything! That's what Arshi have for each other.. and their love will win over every obstacle that comes in their path - Shyam, Dadi.. bring it on!

and that is what their love should be named.. true love, the purest of its kind!!

and also don't forget the moment during the suhaag raat (that he planned for her with candles and flowers )he stopped as soon as she said no and he did not force her what could be bigger proof then that that he does love her, all the changes and the willingness with with he is following all the rasams even though she is not forcing him to, like tying the raksha dhaga, or coming and praying or getting permission from DM for the wedding ( when he has previously come into the temple it's been emotional blackmail by Di ) but now it's his decision as he wants to make her happy...and he even asks her right after that are you happy... I am glad he is so attracted to her and wants to get physical,with her, that is so natural when you are in love...

So yes it's LOVE...

and I don't know why writing this has brought tears into my eyes! Sorry if I got carried away!
