Today's Episode
Garima sees Dadi behind her, praying; she gets scared and hits the nearest exit. Khushi looks around for amma, can't find her and calls her cell. Garima tells her she's headed home to give bauji his medicine. Dadi ji is upset that her plan to confront Garima failed once again and lays the blame at Khushi's door for meeting Arnav though she specifically asked her not to, until shaadi time. Nani tries to smooth things over. Arnav calls Khushi and she tells him that Dadi is upset with her, which doesn't bother him (no surprises here). Khushi also tells him she came to the temple to ask for DMs permission to marry and its part of shaadi ka rasm. This gets Arnav going and he walks into the temple for the first time, all by himself. Everybody is surprised to see him, at the same time very happy. Arnav and Khushi do their puja together and take DM's blessings.
Anjali returns to RM and finds out that nobody is home, gives HP time off as Shyam invited himself over for chai. She is scared that she'll be found out and wishes that things would go back to the way they were before and they didn't have to meet secretly and wish chote knew that the whole thing was a big misunderstanding (of course, Shyam fed her another story and she thinks the haadsa was all a MU). Shyam sweet talks her saying he too is tired of meeting her secretly but needs to find out how she and the baby are doing. So, that's why he's trying to meet her and he has no choice. All he wants to do is to disclose the truth to all and just be with her always.
1 + 1 = 1
Chalo, let's start off with something pleasant and nice. We've always been taught that 1 + 1 = 2; but there's certainly one equation where 1+1 should and must always remain as 1. Yes, we are talking about unity of souls; when two souls that are meant for each other unite, they become 1 don't they? Of course you are never taught this in your Math class, but it's a lesson that life teaches us, a very valuable lesson.
Sant Kabir said it beautifully:
Narrow is the lane of love
Two will never fit
When I was, the Lord was not.
Now He is, I am not
What Payal said to Khushi, 'Tum jaanti ho nah ki Arnav ji yeh sirf tumhare liye kar rahe hain,' sums it up. Arnav did all this for his beloved Khushi; he has no other thought except to make her happy, be with her, understand her, love her, cherish and protect her. Khushi will do the same for him too. The depth of their feelings (not emotions) for each other is unfathomable and it came after a long period of trials and tribulations. The path was full of thorns and they bled, but it did not stop them from taking this journey, a journey that created more and more love and understanding and their souls were eventually united as one. They travel the lover's lane together, knowing they can count on each other, but always united. No sir, there's definitely no place for two in this lane.
Love is blind
Do Anjali and Shyam truly understand and love each other? Forget about that, do they even know each other well? Nope. What is it that's keeping this relationship going? Her blind belief that he loves her and his need for revenge (as per what Doods said about his past). Shyam is using her innocence and blind love to his advantage. Anjali has become so dependent on his supposed love that she doesn't see the truth staring straight at her in the face.
Agreed that husband has the first place in a married woman's life and Shyam has never given her cause for grief and always treated her lovingly, so, she wants him in her life. Then, why doesn't she walk out and be with Shyam? Here's her dilemma; she's emotionally dependent on chote and needs his support always. She's totally selfish in that she wants both her brother and husband in her life, the two crutches she's holding on to, desperately, to keep her life in balance. Nothing that Khushi, NK or Arnav have told her about her husband has made an ounce of difference to her. She continues to believe Shyam and his sweet words of love. This love is so fragile that a small wind can blow the whole faade away.
'Kaash sab pehle ke jaise theek hota' - This is how childish and foolish Anjali is. For a grown up woman, she seems to be hiding from realities for quite some time now. Cannot wait to see her blindfold yanked off and she feels the full pressure of Shyam's betrayal and cries her heart out at what she's done and is going to do to her brother who's always been loving, kind and too generous hearted with her.
I've one question for Anjali. When Khushi and NK disclosed the truth about Shyam at one point she tells Khushi that her whole trust in Khushi is broken and she'll never, ever believe her again because of her lies. So, what's she doing now? She's meeting with her husband secretly, lying to people left, right and center and these are the people who love her, mami, nani, chote etc. So, it's ok for her to lie and chote and mami should trust her, while she can choose not to believe Khushi? Hello, is this double standards or what? It was very nice of you to sit on the fence and judge Khushi, but when it came to your turn, you can lie through your teeth and act all innocent? I just want to see how this character unfolds. She's still unpredictable to me.
Lastly, I want to say that Anjali certainly has traits of Kaikeyi from Ramayan. Kaikeyi truly loved Rama until her ears were filled by mandhara and then she turned totally against him, all because of her blind love for her own son Bharat, whom she wanted to see as the King. Here, Anjali may not turn a vamp, but she's certainly listening to Shyam and all the love she had towards Arnav is taking a different turn and her blind love for Shyam will cause problems for Arnav.
I am left speechless once agin after reading Doods and Tants analysis. I am so happy and proud to be a Reduxian .
The one you love can guide you in the right path and the one you love can also lead you astray. It all depends on who you love.
Arnav in love - A man who once lost his faith in god, willingly stepped in to a mandir to seek blessings from devi maiyya. He agreed to tie the raksha dhagha on his wrist the day before and came to seek permission from devi maiyya for their marriage. This is how much love has changed this man. He did go to the dargah for his di, he did come to the mandir during teej, he did attend janmashtami puja but he was just there during all those occasions; unwilling, not believing in any of it. But this is the first time he stepped into DM's abode willingly, because he thought it was a ritual and he had to perform it with utmost respect, so that his Khushi's desire to perform all the rituals prior to the wedding is complete.
Khushi knew he was just lost all these years and that he wasn't a disbeliever after all, for he had faith in the faith of others. She finally succeeded in bringing Arnav, closer to the goddess. After years, this man joined his hands in prayer to seek blessings and he willingly took the holi water.
Anjali in love - Anjali has always been a pious lady, who found peace in prayers. She was always particular about performing every puja, carrying out all the rasams, fasting every other day, to seek blessings for herself and for her loved ones. But now the same Anjali uses her visit to the mandir as an excuse to sneak out from the house and she skips attending the aarti to meet the man she loves. She is lying to her to brother, lying to the rest of her family, sneaking out, giving away her brother's hard earned money to the devil in disguise because she is blinded by her faith in him. She is unable to see past his web of deceit because she blindly in love.
While the rest of her family was present at the mandir, praying to the goddess and seeking her blessings, Anjali was away from all of it, living happily in her world of fantasy.
I loved the episode many reasons, firstly, for the sheer cuteness of the Arhi scenes. These two love birds can make anyone and everyone want to fall in love and experience the beauty of it. ๐ณ
If Arnav remembers the bandagement, Khushi remembers Arnav's kind gesture towards the little girl at the mandir. ๐ These little moments define Arhi and beauty of their relationship. Thank you cvs for showing that Arhi remembering all these treasured moments. ๐๐ผ I would love to see more of these moments.๐ณ
It was distressing to see Garima scared out of her wits after seeing dadi. ๐ Just moments ago she made the resolve of telling the truth to Khushi but DM has other plans for her. Maybe it's not the right time for Khushi to know the truth. She had a narrow escape.
I love the way the cvs are using all the supporting characters these days, particularly Akash and Payal. It's great to see Akash back to being the caring, sensible guy and Payal as the loving, supportive sister.๐
Few things that I noticed was Khushi that called Akash Jiju instead of Jijaji for the first time and the other was dadi referring to Garima as Khushi's Mausi and not mother.
Most importantly, Anjali's absence from Kuldevi ki puja.
I actually felt sorry for Anjali today. She has no idea what she is doing. Shyam has told her the whole thing was a misunderstanding and I am pretty sure he didn't get into details. He probably just used the word misunderstanding and it was enough for her.
Barun Sobti - How adorable can you be? Love that smile. ๐
Sanaya Irani - You're like a ray of sunshine and you smile lights up the screen. ๐ณ
Swati Chitnis - What an amazing screen presence. ๐
Jayshree T and Abhaa Parmer - Loved you too.
Pyumori Mehta - great job once again. ๐
Akshay Dogra and Deepali Pansare - Loved both of you as well
Abhaas Mehta - Clean shaven look...hmm. ๐ณ

I woke up at 4.30 am today Aus time with the knowledge that Doods will reserve to write today. So logged on to Redux to reserve to write my comments on everyone's post. But was greeted with a pleasant surprise that she was in fact the one who opened Redux today and left us a beautiful Shlokan. The Shlokan that is still ringing in my mind ever since I watched yesterday's episode. (Edited to add)...OMG...Doods what an amazing analysis...Superb...Loved reading every bit of it. I understood so many things...I loved how you explained Shoonya...So true...It is so worthful and still worthless...๐๐๐Muaah๐ณ
Sathya what a way to explain the temple scene. The scene itself was so beautiful and coupled with your wonderful analysis made my day. The shlokan brought immense joy to me as well Sathya. The distinct difference in behaviour and attitude between Shyam and Garima was well portrayed & explained. Arnav and Khushi's temple scene was passionately explored. I fell in love with your analysis Sathya.
Arnav wants to set everything right for Khushi. He knows he had made numerous mistakes when it comes to her. He had pre-judged her so many times. Now he has wholeheartedly taken the task of setting things right for her. Everybody around them notices this change in Arnav and they all equally acknowledge that Arnav is doing this only for his Khushi.
Areeba ...you have explored the relationships and their characters so well...I simple love this line from your analysis...please allow me to Quote "
The day the truth will be placed out on front, Dadi will regret her action. Her dominating arrogance will be shredded and even though her intentions had been to save HER family, it wouldn't come back easy to her".
Jhalak...the header quote was too good...simply loved it...you have also fervently explored all the exchange between Arnav and Khushi...Simply sweet...๐๐๐
I feel Nani sees Arnav's love as his strength and Dadi sees it as his weakness...What do you think Divzzz?
