I think here u are basing it only on Garima and are not thinking of the past in hits entirety..once Garima's truth comes out, it will lead to accident, the accident will lead to Dad, dad will lead to the children... and this quest qill bring out the final truth from the mouth of chachaji... ..

So u see , if they want to limit the exposure of the truth, marriage has to take place...
