i know there is the past track and she is the connection between past and present. but there is one more reason of her being there. she has come to redeem our hotwa.
just imagine him begging for khushi's forgivness! grovelling in front of her. i am sure khushi herself wouldn't hv liked him that way.
but bcoz of dadi he doesn't hv to do that. he is redeeming himself by supporting khushi when nobody is there to save her from dadi's wrath ( except nani ji's honest but weak attempts ) he is redeeming himself by sharing his pain with her.
