Khushi was beyond furious at her soon- to-be- ex husband. She wasn't surprised he manipulated her, but she almost believed he'd changed. Boy was she wrong.
"How could you Arnavji! You did all this to make me yours? What kind of messed up world do you live in!?"
Arnav smirked at her, but inside he flinched at her tone. Khushi might be a child at times, but he had to admit; when she got angry, she was a tigress out of control.
"I always win Khushi. And I had to use my ASR tac tics. You made me and I had no choice." Arnav replied coolly.
"You had no choice?! Oh so you had no choice when you almost made my family go to the streets?! Haven't you learnt anything yet Arnavji?! You will never win me over with this money bull crap! What did you think? That I would come running to you, and accept you as my husband because of your manipulation through money? Who do you think I am? Did you ever realize even if I did run to you because I had no choice, I would never accept you as my husband? After everything we have been through it still hasn't gone to your thick head!"
The impact of her words hit Arnav in the gut. His mind flashed to the moment when she lost her temper in the construction site. The exact same words she uttered that day echoed. 'Get used to it that, money does not give you that right! But for you money is only God' Arnav held his breath. Even then the words stung and it still does. No, this was not what he wanted. He did this all because he loved her, because he couldn't bear to lose her. It wasn't a game for him, but this was the only way he could bring her to him. What other way was there? The pain in his heart increased. He couldn't breathe without her and if he lost her now… No he just couldn't!
Arnav grabbed her by the shoulders and held her close to him. Khushi tried to pull away from his grasp, but he held her tightly, yet he did not hurt her.
"What are you doing!?" Khushi yelled in frustration. She had it with him!
"You don't get it Khushi. I tried doing the loving stuff to you. I tried showing you how much I loved you, but you still didn't want to accept me! What was I supposed to do! Don't you understand that I don't care about money! It's you who I care about. Yes, I tried my ASR tac tics, but it was because I was helpless!"
Khushi held his determined, but pleading gaze. He was telling the truth, but yet he didn't understand what she was asking him.
"Yes, yes you did try all of it, but you forgot something Arnav. You forgot everything you did to hurt me. From the moment we met you reminded me of my low status, money, life, class. I let it all go. Then you mistrusted me and married me forcefully. During the marriage you mistreated me, but yet I held on. Why, because I love you so much. Yes, Arnavji I am saying it out loud now. I love you. I always have and always will, but you still don't get what I am craving for. After you got to know the truth we had something. I forgot everything you accused me of and wanted a new life with you, but then when I tried to leave you because you blamed me for your sister's state. Then you bought up the contract again. That hurt me to the core. Nothing I did made you happy Arnavji and it probably never will. What do you expect? Suddenly you turn loving and for me not to think that it was still a game? How can I open my heart again to you when you crushed it the moment I did? I don't want anything Arnav. I just want you to see that power and money won't get me. No games, bets, nothing of your sort will get me. I am not going to be a part of these games anymore. I just… can't." Tears streamed down from Khushi's eyes after her long speech. She let it all go, finally.
The pain in her eyes was so evident now. Arnav finally understood what she was asking. Tears began to form in his eyes. He hasn't forgotten what he has done to her. But all he wanted to do was see her smile again. He couldn't handle seeing tears in her eyes because of him. But yet it he still caused the tears to flow from her beautiful honey dipped eyes. Why did he never learn? She wasn't like any other girl. Khushi Kumari Gupta was different. Beginning to end she will always be different and that's exactly why Arnav loved her, because she wasn't afraid to cross the line with him.; he loved her, he really did and Arnav knew he had to show her how much he did; this time the proper way.
Arnav gently grabbed her by the hand and dragged her out of the room. He was going to set this right.
Khushi began to protest, but he ignored her. Gently he lifted her up and put her inside the SUV. Ignoring her attempts to get out, Arnav got in and he drove to the very place, where this marriage began; the mandir.
"ArNAV JI LET ME GO." Khushi was struggling from his grasp, but he held on and dragged her in.
"What are you doing!?" Khushi asked in frustration.
"This."
The sight in front of her sucked the breath out of her wind pipe. The blood in her body almost froze at what she was witnessing. Arnav Singh Razaida was on his knees.
"Arnav ji…" Khushi began to speak, but Arnav cut her off.
"No Khushi, let me speak now. This is me begging you to take me back. I don't deserve you Khushi, but I can't let you go. Do you know much I love you? The beginng to end I have hurt you, but I did all that because I was so scared of my emotions. You are the only woman on this planet that awakened my deep emotions. I know what I have done cannot be excuse, but I am begging for forgiveness today Khushi. Please, I am begging you, forgive me. Let me show you how much I have changed. How much I love you. Please Khushi, please give me another chance. I don't care about my ego, I don't care about money, I don't care about power. There's only one thing I do care about, and that is you, my breath. You can deny all you want Khushi, but I know you want to be with me too. Please Khushi, gives us one more chance. Please." Arnav was shaking with tears. He has never been afraid of an answer ever before in his life. All his hearted prayed was that she accepted him.
His confession ripped Khushi's pure heart. Before she knew it she knelt down in front of him and cupped his face. Tears were streaming down both their eyes.
"Arnavji…"
"Please Khushi" Arnav pleaded.
"I will accept you as my husband on one condition."
Arnav nodded frantically. "Anything Khushi, anything"
She couldn't help but smile.
"You have to still be my laad governor. We still have to argue like we always do. Our love story is different Arnavji and I don't want to change our Tom and Jerry fights. In fact it will make the marriage much exciting."
Arnav laughed. Of course she would say something like this at a moment
like this.
"Anything you say Khushi, but I want us to re-marry. I want you to get your dream wedding."
Khushi was stunned, but she smiled slightly and nodded her head. How could she ever let him go? This was her husband.
He leaned and captured her plump lips with his own.
It was a gently kiss, but it was a kiss full of promise; a promise to be together forever, a promise to give her all his love and a promise to be by her side.
And thus the next step to their journey begins.
