I think they did the right thing -- Khushi does not want to show her family that she is sad. She always hid her feelings from everyone to make sure others did not suffer because of her.

They did not go all Romantic on us -- but they are bringing her way of dealing with things back to her -- she brushes aside every single obstacle with a smile -- that is Khushi -- she does need to continue to show anger and disappointment in Arnav though.

That is my take on what we saw today.

Nope! I liked it too because it does lay the foundation for a "come back" -- you can show anger and resentment in Private -- In public everything should be completely normal was what Khushi decided.

So, I think today was a very good representation of who Khushi is as a person -- yes an exaggerated level of patience but it is a show so they have to push it a bit far to make their point.

Cheers.

I'm sorry but I don't think the writers were trying to show Khushi as downmarket, it seems to be your own thought.

Khushi obviously doesn't think the market is downmarket otherwise she wouldn't talk so openly about it and at no point in the show did anyone point out it is cheap or downmarket.

Seems like you believe the market is cheap and for lower class people, that's why to you Khushi is shown as downmarket.
Most of us don't think the market is cheap and downmarket, and therefore we don't think the cvs are showing her as downmarket.

As for the bag thing, most of us saw it in a positive way. It shows that she doesn't care about money and brands, she only cares about love and thoughtfulness. Even if she knew it was branded I doubt she would care and Khushi being Khushi would still put the vegetables in it!😆
Arnav and her had a casual conversation about the bag and the price, at no point did the writers try and point out that she is lower class, otherwise they would have made Arnav put her down as he used to. But in this case he just found her to be funny like the rest of us did. You're just thinking negatively.
I guess some of us just see something for what it is, but you seem to want to see something bad when it isn't even there.

The writers were trying to show her in a positive light.. i.e. a girl who isn't attached to material things, but you took it in the wrong way. I'm sorry but to me your thought is wrong.

It's not true that all people know about brands. I was born in the UK and live in the UK, but I have no interest in brands and bags, so even I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a designer handbag and an ordinary one. Does that mean I'm besharam or downmarket? I would hope not.🤔

You are making people feel negatively.
From your post it is clear that you think using Sarojini market means you are poor and cheap.
That if you don't know what a branded handbag is, it means you are downmarket, a gawar, and whatever else.
Would you think someone is downmarket and a gawar in real life if they used that specific market, or they didn't know what a designer handbag is? If not, then why think that of Khushi?

The writers didn't say they want you to think low of Khushi. Why assume the writers were showing her as downmarket?
You thought it all on your own just because of the things she uses. What does that say about your thought?

As for Arnav and Khushi's characters, I'm not even going to bother arguing about that. You should just read their character description and you'll find your answer.
And Khushi being normal doesn't mean she is God, it simply shows that she loves Arnav so much that she can't stay angry at him for long. It's the way she is.

khushi has always been shown to be down to earth, simple, and innocent. she isnt "low class"; just because she isnt filthy rich doesnt make her less respectable. she is from a middle class family so its natural that she shops from a place that sells things cheap. her house isnt a slum either; many middle class families live in places like that. her mother's side of the family that isnt in a good financial condition, as we all know and have known for quite some months now. so it is quite natural that she might have never bought any branded items. also knowing khushi, whether its branded or not she will still put vegetables because she is used to doing that. 😆 i find that aspect of the character rather endearing. also if you didnt notice, she is mad at arnav and thats why she didnt want to go home. also, she loves arnav too much to stay mad at him 😊

The variety of cloths u get in Delhi or Mumbai markets, u can't find them in Macy's,.,trust me..and about designer bags, Khushi's bag looked really like designer bcos none of the designer bags look worth their money!!!! Guess and Gucci look almost same!!!! And those coach bags, u shud hang price tags along with them for people to make out they are really Coach..no offense to high class people but most of the Indians who can afford any designer stuff but we always go for what is realizable ( sasta sundar and tikavu).. Ofcourse there are other types who love to show off!!!! What they r showing in IPK is very close to reality..I never write such big replies but this class classification made me write..for us Indians, class is all about being educated, good job, respect to elders, family values etc and not fake show off..

Perfect reply...designer stuff don't give class , it's our thoughts..and being poor in terms of money is better than poor in terms of character..
