How come both are Raizadas??

I have been having this doubt since a long time.
Aakash is Nani's son's son.
Arnav is Nani's daughter's son.
How come both are Raizadas?
I mean, Arnav's mother's last name should have been changed after her marriage right??

Arnav's real last name was Malik..

For some reason they had to leave their old mansion in Lukhnow and they changed their last name too.. But so far they have not revealed much about their past..

Yes and i think in the first episode itself they showed his fathers surname was Mallik but Arnav changed it to Singh Raizada.

His name was Arnav Malik, but when he and Anjali were thrown out of their Lucknow home by their paternal uncle (after their parents' passed away), they came to live with their maternal grandmother, he adopted his mother's maiden surname 'Singh Raizada'. This was revealed in the first episode of IPK !

I think, Arnav and Anjali have still kept their Mother's last name.
In all episodes so far, there is no any mention of their Dad...It's always about their Mom.

Maybe she didn't wish to change her last name 😆 and wanted arnav to carry the same last name...

yeah ... bt arnav left hiz surname MALIK ... aftr their chachaji threw dem from sheeshmahal ... n opted RAIZADA which z hiz momz family name ... obviously afta marriage a womenz named along her huz family bt i think arnavz dad gt a bad pazt tat no one lykz him ...!!
