I understand it being a daily soap. But what I don't understand is why the story is not planned in advance.

I am from the UK and we have a number of very well known soaps that have been running for 25 or more years, so a lot longer then Iss Pyaar Ko Ka Naam Doon.

All these soaps are planned and filmed well in advanced, therefore allowing the actors to take breaks for holidays etc and also allowing them to take on other projects.

The PH and Barun had known about all this in advance, so why was this not planned better?

A very true analysis for all the confusions , apprehensions and presumptions going on in minds of Fans and Super Fans .

You have raised their ( Sarun) POV and it is justified . After all it is their livelihood and they are free to decide whatever they think good for their future . However , they must not play with the sentiments of the fans and viewers who have blessed them whole heartedly in the show business.

They should be committed to the show first once they have taken the assignment in their hands and ethics demands they should finish the task first and complete the assignment gracefully and then move forward for next task . They are not supposed to ditch their viewers in midway and look to their own interest in priority . Otherwise their credentials will be at stack and in future no viewers would like to watch their show and spare time for them and perhaps will be detached towards their show , what I feel.

And frankly as long as the story calls for it , i am all for missing leads. But this was not the story demand, it was more of a PH-actor mess up. Someone goofed up and now the fans are angry!

And this has been the case with this show for sometime and thats what pisses people off. But as long as we had the leads and their awesome chemistry, we were all good

With one gone, all hell broke loose!

totally with you! i had said this yesterday too!! we are over reacting! why cant we take it as a track! also it can be like this that this is the twist they were talking about and Barun's movie came in so they thought that ek teer se do nishanane types! oh i really wanted to be viewer outside IF cause IF makes me mad and specially these days its going too much!!! we can never be happy trust me on that!
no matter what happens we have got the habit of complaining in everything!
i give you a examplle.. my college friends are not in IF! and i never told them too 😛 i never ever tell them about any spoiler or anything.. they dont even know that Barun is doing a movie and guess what they are going all bonkers that WHERE THE HELL IS ARNAV!! and what happened to him.. !! so its like IF has ruined the suspense for us!! all i can say is that we need to give some rest to our brain cause we are over working! :P
