Tanthya and Doodles... Again very intriguing and engaging intrrpretation of the last episode. Lets look at this from the other side shall we? Please bear with me, the cynic is back...
The first thing that came to my mind after reading your post Doodles was the word, simplicity or the lack of it. I am sure you have heard of
Less is more.
Simplicity is the ultimate sohistication.
And as happens in art, simplicity is not easy to achieve. Too much of details or all the quaintness of wit or infusion of so called complex layering might give you a very gaudy baroque piece, and the real purpose and message will be lost in that tangle. For all the credit you guys give them, i fail to understand why these guys cannot determine what their target audience is and go about unraveling the story using methods and means that can be easily conveyed and understood. Thats why i stress on simplicity, its simple but make no mistake its not the easiest thing to
arrive at!
Why do i feel a jarring discontinuity as if they are skipping through scenes and moments, that bedscene lacked a certain poignancy because they wanted to moveon to the next scene? I ask why that rush? They take pains not to untangle and steer clear of that mu and i feel like they are asking, whts the rush? Hell the rush is ur audience who is fast losing patience! The main story has been moving at a snails pace while little moments feel rushed, wht is the aufience supposed to hold on
to?
For a Ph thats supposedly struggling with produxtions issues whats the most logical route to achieving tht?
Something that maximises their chances of achieving thier goals. Clearly not something that jeopardises that very thing?
Not everyone is writing a thesis on ipink... Most likely they watch this to get away from their actual thesis works! So, whats stopping them from delivering their message methods that actually works?
When u set about doing too much u run the risk of overdoing it. May be the so called aesthetic storytelling does not need to be every episode?? Use it for things that will give the maximum high, so it makes a better impact?
