With the fan points, though we can't match DD/GC in terms of total, we can match them in activity right? Because how else would the fan points for Barun and Sanaya be 82% and 63% respectively. In that case how can we tell how many active fans there are - and what kind of activity are IF looking for? 😕

Fans points are not given by the number of active fans dear, it's the number of people joined their fanclub in a week,
so for example DD got maximum points for fans i.e 400, Barun got 329, that means Barun had 82% of fans , who joined his fanclub in compare to number of fans who joined DD's fanclub..Does that make sense?

Since DD has massive fans, she always gets almost full points for everything than view points..more fans, that's why more people comment on her profile and buzz article..
For SARUN..Barun always gets the full view points, and we are improving in fans and comments, but we suck at buzz points, people are just not commenting on buzz articles..I don't why they ignore it..we have more than 1000 active members of IPK forum, still his latest buzz article had only 600 comments before it expired, and each person can comment 3 times on 1 buzz article..so even if we just expect half people to do it, we should get at least 1500 comments..DD's buzz article always gets 1800+ points, her fans really makes a point to comment..SARUN fans comment only if the buzz article is of their interest, like their interview or something, otherwise they read it n go away, hopefully we will change this soon...

I am not sure of this..I think Vijay said these points are calculated based on the number of fans who have logged in atleast once in a week's time..3-4 weeks back when Barun became number 1, there was a lot of noise about it asking mods to give justification on how Barun got so many points for fans..I will try to get that info if possible..else we can try and calculate this based on the fans joined in a week..

Oh really??? because in celebrity ranking thread, the example they gave says:
"for example if Karan Singh Grover has maximum number of fans at 2463 so that is considered as the maximum weightage Point 400 (considered 100%) and from there we start calculating other celebrities like Harshad Chopra has 1638 fans and so it gets 149 Points (which happens to be near 70% of Karan Singh Grover)."

And they say it goes same for comments, and when I originally did all this research 2-3 weeks ago, I did calculate the number of new fans who joined for DD,GC, Barun and Sanaya and they were matching with their points..so I am very curious to know if that's not true...
