I was just pondering over the ASR character from the time IPKKND started. Here is a brief summary of how it got transformed. Please, let me know your views as well!!
Destiny keeps on making them meet many times, like
1) At ASR office: When ASR wants to crush her in the day time . But at night Arnav things only about her . ASR assigns her difficult tasks with tight deadline, and when Khushi completes them successfully. ASR feels defeated inside, on the other hand Arnav shows concern for a girl, he himself confused, why he keeps thinking about her.
Then the ASR punishes her to stand in heavy rains in AR office parking lot. But Arnav comes to save her from the car accident. And still ASR thinks later why is he thinking about her.
A photoshoot for a calender, where ASR again asks her to do the shoot -"to cover the losses". But red saree clad Khushi makes him bowled. Arnav forgets who ASR is!!. He is completely into catch the glimpse of Khushi.
One day when Di tells him" that one day a girl will come in your life, when she is not there, you will feel that you've stopped breathing" and ASR laughs at his Di's joke. However, Arnav is still confused why time an again he thinks about Khushi.
2) At RM: Finding her work at RM, makes him feel irritated. Anyways, ASR tolerates her because of his family . Meanwhile, Arnav learns so much about Khushi, who is she , a simple girl, who is afraid of darkenss and loves stars as it means to her - they are her parents. Her innocence melts Arnav heart at each stage. Then, one day ASR is forced to say" Sorry " to the same girl he does not want to see the face off.
3) Nainital Trip: ASR finds her unbearable and leaves her. But when she is ill, Arnav says her sorry and takes care of her. Slowly, Arnav starts realising his mistakes.
4) Pre diwali time: They get closer and more closer around the pool side ( yes, that the area where most prominent Arshi scenes happens) . He keeps two silver coins in detergent pack just to see her smile. Then, Arnav rescues her from the diwali lamps she has around her. And, yeah how can we forget the rangoli fall. Arnav finally plays holi in diwali time, .. ...the pale world of Arnav is starts getting colurful with Khushi around him.
5) Diwali: Arnav is stunned at the beauty surrounded with lamps. Her smile, her long hair, he cannot take eyes from her. He helps her to taker her out of the circular lamp assembely. He misses her and finds her near the pool side. Arnav cannot loose his control, but here he gets more nearer, just about to kiss her . When he realises, he is not Arnav , but ASR.
In repentance, he announces his marriage with Lavanya, just to make Arnav and Khushi hurt.
6) Post Diwali: ASR still hates Khushi and does not know why he thinks about her. He, does not want to see her and leaves no chance to hurt her. Still, Arnav feels repentent when he sees tears in her eyes.
One fine day, ASR asks her to say sorry, she says it multiple times. And when Arnav gets up from the recliner, to console her. ASR learns that she is already engaged. Arnav feels the pain, while ASR faces the defeat, which he is not able to take anymore and finally confess to her " mujhe farak padta hai damn it"
Leaving Khushi, in abeyance, why he said so. Without any answer, they want to find an answer to an question lingering in their mind.
7) "Farak nahi padta" : "Farak nahi padta" gets more prominence, when ASR gifts everything Khushi likes to Lavanya, and asks her " I hope tumhe koi farak nahi padta" . But when he about to give the tip of lehnga to Khushi as her enagement gift. Arnav learns that he has hurt her badly , and leaves the venue, as he himself cannot see her cry.
8) PayAsh meeting: The two agree on agenda to make there siblings meet together. Arnav supports Khushi filmy plans. They both cancel their respective engagement as they learn there is no future with it. Finally , during meeting them, they fall for each other. Arnav learns about Khushi and is about to tell Kuhshi " ki mujhe farak kyun padta hai " .
Arnav losses his existence, when he sees the girl he loves, has betrayed her. Arnav finally losses his existence. It is only ASR that exist, who wants to destroy everything that destroyed his world, his Di's happniess. 😡
9) Arshi marraige: Arnav is so much hurt, that he is dead for a while, that it is only ASR who speaks. ASR, marries Khushi, just to crush her happiness, because she betrayed him. And he tells her " I will inflict more pain on you, because I hate you. Did you hear that" Somewhere, Arnav does not beleive, to what he just said. But it is ASR that lives in his body and soul now
10) Holi : In times looking at her smile, and childish acts, Arnav gets a momentary life. Still, ASR has to back in action...because she has destroyed his Di's life (and his own life too...the only thing he is still to realize that)
On, holi day they confess their love, when both are not fully concious, it is Arnav who learns that the one he loves, also loves him still she is unaware of love and asks her Arnavji the question " Batyein naa Arnav ji aisa kyun hota hai " . The tears of happniess comes out of Arnav eyes and he carries his princess back to the place, where he can caress her and reply to her every question
11) Post Holi: Arnav gains conciousness as ASR, and does not feel like replying to the woman who has changed him so much
12) Honeymoon track: ASR dances with Khushi the " dance of envy" just to make Di happy. but in room they sleep as one soul. lost into each other. Hardly Arnav realises in the morning while his beautiful angel sleeps beside him , who he is Arnav or ASR.😳
Arnav has transformed into ASR whenever, he has felt betrayed , defeated, cheated by the woman he loves.
But, Khushi, is learning slowly, who really her Arnavji is, her silent question, "Who are you?" What makes you big" are puncturing the infalted ego of ASR.
The day is not far ,when ASR will get loose in front of the Khushi, who transformed ASR to Arnav and showed him who he really is.The day I mean to say when Arnav will learn, what Khushi means to him, his world, his happiness, his existence is all because of her and ASR is just a faade. 😃
