Phew! Weather in control for now. Managed to watch epi and also post my analysis.
No words, man! NO WORDS!! What an epi!!!! Blasted my tear glands to flood out like anything!! There's not much to dig deeper so I suggest you watch the epi again than reading down, but I would like to know what YOU thought of the epi...
LOVE in DEATH
PICKING POINTERS:
Aye...who wants to waste time picking pointers on such an exquisite epi? But leastways doing it, and this time, since I'm trying to MAKE pointers, it may sound odd and un-Aquiline like:
- So Nani and Anjali were both in it? Cunningly brilliant women folk Raizadas have!
- And whoa! All those men who ridiculed Heer today, line up in front of the Forum, please. We'd like to gift you something *bang*smash*biff* There, now that's better!
- So, what happened to Payal and her meeting with Aparna? Maybe tomorrow...
- When the epi began I was like, okay...this Gabbar-Singh humor's killing me, and whats' with the Anarkali romance. Yeesh! Someone change the channel! (Just kidding, no one change it until its 8.30!!)
- And then Kushi...eating to kill her anxiety...*chuckle* They should have put a tree as prop on the stage and filled it with jalebis hanging from the branches so she could pretend like she was having a casual meal in the garden while waiting for her Ranjha to come...
- We should sponsor a 'beard beeper' or something to Arnav so that it will alert him everytime he needs to trim that hot stubble of his. In the spotlight effects on the stage, he looked more like he'd put a dark mask around his mouth like a bandit. And the only part that stood out bright was his forehead!
- The only person who didn't want to give ArHi a standing ovation: Shyam babua!! Twitch your nose a little more, darling, we'd love to feel revolted watching it!
THE SAGA ON THE STAGE:
Nothing to dig really. Everything was so obvious. Today the real credit to Digging Deeper goes to Kushi. SHE ACTUALLY INTERPRETED that the dialogues delivered by Ranjha were not Ranjha's but ARNAV'S. I wanted to hug her for snapping that answer out. Star Plus, THIS (pushing Kushi forwards) is your ideal heroine! Watch your step now, and give IPKKND its due credit, step mother! (Shweta's comment)
When Kushi was pushed onto the stage, my heart leapt and my stomach had fear punching at it. It felt as if my own children (future children-I'm single and childless, currently) were about to perform and I was anxious as to how it was gonna turn out to be. ArHi are totally hijacking most of my emotions! They are more life-like to me and I watch their every step and growth like a yearning mother. Yeesh!
First thought that crossed my mind when Arnav began his dialogues: HE'S CONFESSING, DAMMIT. Its not Kushi who will confess first, as the spoilers go. It is Arnav and he did it today. Of course, they both are making indirect confessions. While Arnav didn't complete it but beat around the bush telling quite everything but the word LOVE...Kushi might say the word LOVE but she will refer to it in the past tense. So anyway, both confess, Arnav being first, and both don't make a complete confession. When Arnav came in and started his tirade of dialogues, my heart caught in my throat, I choked over it and tears started spilling like a dam had broken out. I couldn't help it. I was drowned in my own tears by the time Kushi started whirring her brain and confronting him.
To tell the truth, I did not feel anything watching Kushi in her Heer dialogues. Until she said that dialogue: that she was Heer in form but Ranjha at heart. That was so...heavenly! I never expected that dialogue to come and I never even thought that love of a woman for her man could be so perfectly worded. And then I fell for her other dialogue: that poison would taste sweet on the day she was to join with Ranjha. How very touching that was...But more than Heer, I was bowled over by Ranjha's (truthfully Arnav's) dialogues. I was going through the exact emotions Kushi must have gone through when lying on his lap, listening to him. She wanted to open her eyes and look to see if it was really him speaking, whether his eyes would tell if he meant hose words. The one who said he knew no dialogues and was forced to come on stage because of Nani. But of course, she didn't need to open her eyes to know it was him. She knew it alright. She could read into his silences, right? So she could close her eyes and listen to him and know that it was ARNAV'S HEART that was speaking.
I couldn't stop crying. I was, in fact, wailing, on hearing his dialogues. And wow! I LOVED Kushi today LOVED her, really!!! To have confronted and told him not to run away from her questions, and backing up with the fact that he hated someone walk off when he was talking to them. Loved how she repeated his lines to him twice: one on the stage, and one in the green room. And at the stage, Arnav's sudden helplessness to answer her with his "huh?" he must have been like, "Think brain! How do you remove yourself from this sticky situation!! Idea!! Scram, leaving your wife there to be congratulated alone!"
Run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man. That may be a fairytale, but this mister we have on our show is a cautious knight who only SAVES his damsel in distress and nothing beyond that. How about a kiss from me for saving me, knight? No. A hug? Nope. Okay...would you let me ruffle your hair then? Na-na... *grunt* Stupid unromantic knight! (and so walks off the damsel...)
LITTLE DIGGNG DEEPERS:
Going for it, anyway. This is me and I gotta do it. Maybe someone else will find out more symbols to interpret if they found any. I was so beaten down by overwhelming emotions and tears to pause and catch any scene that may have interpretative value. Sorry for my silly banter. But here goes:
- "Leave her alone on the stage to be ridiculed by others. The choice is yours." Nani said that and Arnav chose. Did he choose it for his family? NO. He did it so she wouldn't stand helpless and ridiclued. He went there for HER.
- "Aranvij?"... "Its Ranjha. I don't know a thing about dialogues, so you tell me what to do, Kushi."..."It's Heer." Loved the way they had to remind each other who they were. So are we Kushi-Aranv or Heer-Ranjha? Any way is same. We're still lovers dying in each others arms. Dying because we love each other so dyingly.
- Teri-Meri plot was repeated again. Not just Arnav coming to rescue a lonely Kushi on the stage. But also how from darkness he moves into the light where Kushi was standing. Kushi is his light. Shine away, sweetheart, lead your husband to his Destiny of Love...
- When Kushi told him 'they were going to die' as he stood in the shadow, Arnav was suddenly struck by the words. Death, friends, I have told you, is something he fears. The only thing he is afraid of: losing someone he loves to Death. If Death were personified and put to stand before Arnav, he would bash Death to death: for taking his mother away, for almost taking his sister away, for pretending to take Kushi away (ambulance scene). Oh Death, better remain as an abstract concept or you'd be eradicated from dictionaries by Arnav's fist for good!
- Every dialogue he said was so Arnavy!! I am still jumping around my room crying, "He confessed!! He confessed!!" That was one awesome confession. Must train the man my parents are gonna find for me to say that dialogue one day...And loved the way Kushi wanted to open her eyes! But wait, did you see how she looked at him as he lay as the dead Ranjha beside her...she wanted to make sure that it was REAL and not a dream. That he really had come out of his haughty shell and played in the competition with her, that he had finally made up his mind to come and lay beside her...And wait! Everytime Arnav gazed at her or did something for her love, she never noticed it. She never saw it. Even today, she couldn't SEE his confession, but she was willing to look after her had confessed. The tears in her eyes after he had fallen dead beside her, they were so gratifying. At last, she had heard what she wanted. And she expected him to answer her when she asked, "Hamesha what? " because she thought he might still be under the spell of what had happened on the stage. But ASR is a quick transformer. He was back to being himself in less in the blink of an eye.
- To die if you're dying too. Loved his dialogues so much that I was doubly awestruck by the WAY he had taken the poison. He didn't take the sweet. He took her HAND that was holding the sweet. I never though Death could be more beautiful...by that action, he was showing that anything and everything he did was FOR her. He proved it by dying BY her hand. No words again, man, no words...
MY BIGGEST DIGGING DEEPER FOR TODAY:
Conscious Flinging Away of Love does not Affect Unconscious Retaining of Love
And then came the green room incident. The earring, friends, is 'his love for her'. He never puts it on her, only holds it in his hand expecting 'her' to take it. Today, he held the earring again and gazed at it, gazed at his love for her and how he was helpless because of it. He couldn't make a complete confession and he couldn't entirely love her either. But he wanted to...and so he gazed at it. Kushi comes in and we see that in the reflection the earring is right over her sindoor. Yes, Arnav's love (earring) is binding her to him by their marriage (sindoor). Than Kushi comes and takes it. He doesn't put it. She is the one who takes the earring as if asking him, "Why don't you tell me you love me? Why don't you put this earring on me?" But he makes no move. In fact, he stresses the dialogues to have been an actor's impulse and nothing to do with the reality. But Kushi is not to be outsmarted by smarty pants: she retorts with the truth quite openly: It was Arnav! Not Ranjha on the stage. Love her for that. Really! And then he assured more strongly that it wasn't, and leaves the tight situation like he always does. COWARD! In love...
And then did you see the way she threw the earring down on the floor. Flung it right down. Throwing down 'his love' because he won't admit it. You know what it reminded me of? Arnav throwing out her bangle piece through the slightly open window on the Pag Phere day after leaving at her maternal home. Same thing here. What does it denote? Consciously you may fling out your love, but that doesn't stop you from unconsciously loving and holding onto the other person in the depths of your heart...
There was something I wanted to do: interpret the poisoned sweet as LOVE. But I decided this time, I want 'you' guys to try a hand at interpreting it. Tell me, what you think in that angle. Can love be poisonous? Yes, love means dying...dying to be reborn as ONE with your lover. But poison? Is love poisonous? Comment on my post, friends, adding your thoughts on this. Even if it may sound awkward, I would love to see you give it a TRY!! For me. No, for ArHi...
Loved the Precap coming but I won't be watching it. In fact, I won't be watching any of the remaining episodes of this week.
IMPORTANT NOTE
I'm terribly sorry that I will have to say this, but I have no choice. Easter is coming and I want a few days apart just for me and Him. Hence I am going to make the biggest sacrifice possible: stop watching IPKKND and stop treading or posting on the Forum. I'll not be coming again until Easter is over and until then, cheer up for ArHi and stay strong and positive. I'll be missing all the awesome episodes as well, but it is required. When I make a return, I will PM you of my comeback. Thanking all those who have been my support for all these weeks and for those who lately began to get attached to me. Before I depart, I'd like to wish you all a Happy Easter in advance. Despite the differences in religion and nationality, we celebrate every festival and occasion around the world as children of ONE GOD and hence, Easter, a day that commemorates the resurrection from death, shall be a day for you to start thinking of new ways to change and look on the brighter side of the life. Goodbye, friends and take care. Love you all... I really do.
