In television there is no new story. Everything is repackaged, recycled and reused. It is really sad.

I wish I could read the original book it sounds amazing! Maybe someone will translate it into English?

You know i was thinking about mentioning this drama on the forum just yesterday! I loved that show! Shehr-e-Dil ke Darwazay! The only point it shattered my heart was when Mehran had actually realized his error in judging Arsheen, and asked Arsheen to stay married to him, And Arsheen said no. I had really wished for Arsheen to forgive him, as he had been tricked exactly like Arsheen had been by Aftab! I remember the sequence when in the middle of the story, Mehran kind of mellow downs on Arsheen, and even buys a pair of amazing dresses for her on his own, but Aftab comes up with the fake pictures of Arsheen and him which ofcourse were given by Arsheen's overly stupid sister. When Arnav goes into the flashback of SHyam Khushi terrace scene, I always think about Mehran and Arsheen. I have'nt read the novel, but i did watch the show midway. Thank you for saying whatever was on my mind!

Yes, I viewed the drama and even I thought about it but I have not still read the book. Humsafar I read. Shere Dil ke darwazey is yet to be read by me. Yes, as mentioned by others, in Iss pyaar there is much more physical contact and the intensity of passion is there. But that situation never rises in Sherey dil ke.

ohh man I love the story line! Sucker as I am for sadistic, heart breaking stories like these, I dont want it to happen in IPK.

If only Hindi television or those behind Hindi serials had the guts to go that route. But they won't. Partly because of the fact that their goal is to run as long as possible. But also because they just don't have the guts.

There seem to b quite a few similarities...But I am confident enough that IPKKND will be lot different..Arnav and Khushi love each other without any doubts and no matter what Arnav will never ever leave Khushi..He may not give her all the love that she deserves for a very long time
