Really i fought with myself, reasoned with myself quite a bit before i abandoned all advises that my brain tried telling my heart...i had to share this with u all even if all of u collectively decide to kill me with ur comments...or tomatoes...or rotten eggs! !!!sigh!!!!

Yesterday i really did say _______ "What the!" I couldn't believe what was being shown. Maybe my expectations from the CVs have gone high, but no manner of logic made yesterday's scenes prove funny or anything otherwise. Imagine our Arnav and Khushi doing such a beautiful tango and then my eyes fell on the whole family looking on as if saying yes yes now the next step is to kiss dears go ahead it is expected."

Come on how meddling can they be??? Imagine the whole family looking on expecting you to be cozy and romantic and that also in a situation where u are being asked to imagine yourselves in your honeymoon. Lights are magically cuttoff (but not the AC, How i really don't want to talk abt that now!!!)...phones are taken away and the couples are locked up...the whole family expecting u to do the deed.😲

God! I really did see everything with my mouth hanging open. The best part of yesterday was the parts where Arhi were alone in their room...where Arnav expected her to protest when he said he was going to change first...when Arnav changed the rhythum of their dance for the Snake but got lost himself...then also when they were alone in the last part (obviously!!!!) but honestly...tell me what did the CVs think to achieve with the theater material of a play all parts being enacted on the same stage?????

The scenes and the situations could have been electrifying if only set differently. The PH and the CVs and whoever decides on these stuffs seem to have taken leave of logical tacks of their mind. The only thing that salvaged yesterday's episode was Arnav and Khushi and our own hearts and eyes who love to follow them and just them.

p.s. yesterday proved another thing...for a long time now i wanted to ask why are girls or women shown to let their hair loose all the time, after they are married. Yesterday Anjali looked so beautiful with her changed hairdo...why cant they be shown to tie their hair sometimes on a regular basis on the show, makes for a nice change.

p.p.s. OK now i am braced...come on, i know i will be bruised soon enough.😉

Yeah might be there are Magicall ACs...i loved the parts where Arnav is gazing so intensely at Khushi all through the dance also on the bed..and also his expectation that she will fight with him but is dissappointed when she doesn't do so...but then i have already said they salvaged otherwise strange episode.

Yeah but it pains to see such wonderful chemistry and couple and acting skills being stifled just because of a poor half-cooked script.😭

Pasting here what I said about yesterday's epi: (don't kill me for doing this the second time today!)
-----------------------

Taken in isolation, I liked the dance.

But the problem was, the dance was not in isolation--- it had the background of fake scenery, of gawking family in super-close proximity, not to mention un-synchronised music.

I admit that in joint families, everybody noses in on a couple's private business--- creating romantic opportunities, teasing, goading about 'required' pregnancies.

But if Anjali had to create this, all she had to do was book a hotel--- dinner and dance for everyone--- the family would have remained for the evening, (CVs need Shyam to be there) the music could have changed to salsa, and the dance could have a more natural, sizzling ambience on a proper dance floor at the right distance from the dining tables and family, and the dance could have been much like those in various movies where a couple dances so passionately that all couples just give up the floor to them.

Then of course they could have retired to the hotel room, where everything that happened (decorated room, candle-lit dinner laid, lights switched off, doors locked,) could have happened the same way.

But I guess CVs needed to set fire to the couch to make the bed-sharing permanent, so everything had to happen at home.

The show that gave us the entangled-in-lights scene by the poolside, the Diwali scene with the payal, the Holi confession scene in the gazebo and the poolside, yesterday looked like CVs trying to cut budget corners by borrowing sets, script and direction from a Doordarshan TV serial (if those even exist now).

I expected clenches in my tummy---which I got while watching Teri-meri and Diwali---instead I got the cringes from the tacky scenario, and the forced hugs and falls. The fall on the bed would have sizzled if the earlier dance had taken place on the right note.

Yes, it was epic. Epic Fail.

Where is the show I so love?

-------

Point being, the director could have done much the same thing, but made it look classier. And this is a show I've loved, tried to love, tried to hate---all of it, but I can't fail to love. It just makes me sad that it should be brought to this in terms of picturisation and setting.

I browse through other channels, and the settings there as well as the picturisation is consistent (the rich folk look uniformly loaded and they spell money in whatever they do). And coming to that, consistency is the main question here---

Why do we have dialogs like "Sapne dekhna mat shuru kar dena" when he is shown to think that she loves Shyam?

How is Mami participating in all this--- isn't she against the whole concept of her son being close to her daughter-in-law?

I understand the need to bring the leads closer--- but did it have to be by doing the whole thing at home so the couch could be burnt?

Hoping for a better epi today.

You are not alone ! I am re-posting a comment I made on an other post earlier today. (too tired to write again 🥱) I feel the same.

They cud've made it a whole lot better with a few creative and intelligent changes...and still showed the passion & anger flaring up etc 1. Got rid of the entire RM family and had Prakash bros doing the greeting and bags to give the couples some privacy..(that WAS the point rt ?). It wud certainly have given it a better feel than family watching & directing their every move... down to the actual deed !!That was a bucket of cold water for me ! 2. GOT RID OF SHYAM !!😡🤢 with him around the whole scenario FAILED !! Why did CV's have him give flowers and stare at their private dance moments !! SHYAM IS THE ROMANCE KILLER !! W*F ** CV's - use your peanuts !! 😡3. Where's the ambiance & atmosphere ??? with the Raizada's acting goofy & silly, Mami name calling the girls, what was this ? Elementary school play yard ? 4. They were standing a few feet away, breathing down on the necks of the newly weds when they were dancing !?!! It seemed too crowded and wud hv been better to see passion, anger, romance in the dance w/o the whole family a few feet away. Just didnt feel right.
Again, Barun to the rescue !! I just kept my eyes on him...cudnt look away even if I tried..which was a good thing. He looked sooo good in his maroon shirt and jeans & belt 😳
oh..and I sooo loved his untucked shirt..(was that on purpose for us to mull over ??)
Loved the IPKKND song playing 😊 for the dance, and the hug at the end !!
There was a time CV's gave us so many memorable moments out of seemingly casual encounters. Where is that creative force and energy ? The rain scene, fainting at the temple, fairy lights, saving kushi from the candle wax, Diwali, Nanital, and so many times when Kushi fell in to his arms seemed and felt so uniquely different. CV's managed to infuse a freshness each time in a subtle way. To this day they are etched in my mind. Why does it seem so forced and repetitive now ??? Lately most scenes feel like a duplicate of another one before..including the dance sequence that was very similar to Teri Meri. I love ARshi..and can watch them for hours..no complaints. But just feel bad that they are not doing justice by these great pair of actors and the story we love. .

Swathi dear, what you expected i don't know but the Cv's from the first itself told us it is a love-hate story. The show started itself with hating each other and gradually falling in love and when the MU started it took another dimension and back to hate now mixed with love. They love internally but hate externally . Because ASR thinks Kushi is cheating and acting. where as Kushi don't know the real reason for this but has a doubt that he knows about shayam and her. In what way he is thinking she don't know yet. She is trying to know the truth by using every method to make him say what he knows. So far she is successful . Now she knows that she hurt him and has to do something with his sister. In future episodes we will see how she got to know about the real truth.
Last night's episode is about the family to make the couples happy by arranging Honeymoon at RM, when they cancelled Bali program. The dance itself was a hate passionate one which he is forcing Kushi and letting shayam know that she belongs to him.
The script was tight and Cv's know their story and the characters and how to portray them.
Relax. There's much more coming, whether you like it or not is up to you, but it is not a sloppy story.😉

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!! AT LAST someone who understod what i meant...
I so agree with everything that u wrote especially this part...
.The show that gave us the entangled-in-lights scene by the poolside, the Diwali scene with the payal, the Holi confession scene in the gazebo and the poolside, yesterday looked like CVs trying to cut budget corners by borrowing sets, script and direction from a Doordarshan TV serial (if those even exist now).

This show can and has given us electrifying moments...with just some bare changes to the scenes shown yesterday could have been the same as before...so no amount of logic can be used to explain why everything that was shown yesterday couldn't have been done better at some place else. Also the editing was a little off too.

Same here...same here...

The same scenes could hve been so much more wit just asome changes done to the location.why couldnt they have been shown to have gone to a hotel private banquet hall...or something like that!!!! They are the Raizadas for crying out loud,😕 they could have booked the whole damn hotel if they wanted...They only thing that (as always) saved the day was ARHI and their scenes.
