Arnav blowing out the candle symbolised him plunging Khushi's life into seeming darkness- As he did when he aired the footage that made Lukhnow a no-go area for her.
They both then stumble around in the dark together, looking for matches- Symbolic of their relationship at the beginning. Wandering around, sidestepping each other with no idea what was going on or why they were feeling how they did.
Arnav finds the match and lights the fire- Arnav was the first to realise he had deeper feelings for Khushi and his love lit up her world as well in the moments leading up to Valentine's Day. But, just like fire... Arnav's love could be deadly if uncontrolled.
Khushi tries to get away from Arnav but trips and he falls on top of her on the bed, still holding the match- Khushi was engaged to be married (speaking of... so was Arnav) but fate tripped her up and she landed back in Arnav's arms.
They're both dumbstruck by each other and don't notice the danger building just beside them, the potential disaster that Arnav could cause- Arnav and Khushi, for those beautiful, blissful few days before the wedding were totally unaware of the sneaky little combustible in the background, laying his snakey traps...
Khushi notices the fire and saves Arnav from getting burnt- Khushi found out the truth about Shyam and tried to protect both Arnav and everything that was important to him (read: Anjali Jha Raizada).
Arnav tries to throw the flame away and then goes to help Khushi up- Arnav at the minute fluctuates between trying to ignore his love for Khushi by figuratively "throwing it away" as well as trying to conceal it with rage, and his overwhelming compulsion to protect Khushi purely BECAUSE he loves her so much.
The fire has spread and is now threatening Arnav's laptop- Arnav's feelings are now out-of-control. Both his rage, guilt and, above all, his love are colliding in one explosive combination which, considering he is too fixated on Khushi to SMELL THE BURNING (if you watch carefully, it's HER that picks up on the smell, just as she is the one picking up on the hints that Arnav has been dropping while Arnav remains frustratingly oblivious to her OBVIOUS innocence) that are threatening not only his happiness and safety, but also his work (the laptop) and his family (well... the laptop is IN the Raizada Mansion).
And who's responsible for all of this? Anjali of course. She locked them in the room so there's no way out. - Just as her happiness and ignorance of the internal affairs of her brother and sister-in-law's lives remain the reason for their ongoing misery...
And now I'm thinking maybe Khushi is going to get burnt trying to put out the fire and even if Arnav helps her, it's too late. The scar isn't going anywhere.- Just as when Khushi finds out the truth about why Arnav married her and reveals the truth to him... He may try and get her to forgive him, but it'll take a lot more than a few "Sorry... I'm so sorry"s to heal the pain his mistrust and betrayal will have inflicted on her.
Sorry guys. I'm probably being an idiot and overanalysing again. But I just thought I'd share my thoughts. Do let me know what you think :)
