I'm now officially stalking you blogs.
You don't have to answer me if you are uncomfortable, but how do you manage to come up with the backdrop of your stories? Its incredible. Is it research, research, research or life, life, and more life? What ever it is, as a reader, I can tell you that I'll never be bored. The mysteriousness that surrounds the family, the witches and Goa make this setting such a crucial part of the story. It is like the setting is a major character by itself, after all the story does revolve around the aquisition of the Isle.
Love your characters ā Aditi and Aman are the quintessential (using this word a little too much today but can't help it) cute couple. In love, friends and sizzling chemistry. Awww
Khushi and Arnav ā Khushi here reminds me of IPK Khushi in the early episodes, where she would wear those green or pink salwar kameez night dresses with the wind blowing through her hair while having tea with Payal, sitting outside her buaji's house. The serenity is similar to your Khushi. However, your Khushi is an extremely calm, warm and loving daughter, sister and friend. And she is in love ā¦ in love with Arnav. Waiting for that part of the past to unfold and I have no doubt that you are pacing your story where the best is yet to come.
Arnav ā What can I say about this dude? He is the reason I'm here. If I hadn't obsessed about that character, I wouldn't have read any of the fanfictions and I would never have found your work. So, thanks to my obsession that I have found some incredible writers. Coming back to
Arnav, as handsome and dark as ever. Loves his sister, family and the rest of the world baad me jaye and very clearly attracted to Khushi.
Payal and NK ā Payal is in love with Aman? Poor NK ā needs to find someone who loves him. One sided love can never be fulfilling.
Shyam ā Poor dude. He doesn't know what's gonna hit him right?
Barun ā I loved your take on Barun leaving the show Meera. It was hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing. Even now, I am smiling as I'm typing this. Frankly, I couldn't believe how I became obsessed with this show coz the last Hindi serial I watched was almost a decade ago, that again for just over 12 months.I guess that's what made IPK different for many of us. It had that magnetic pull, which was inexplicable.

P.S: BTW, I loved how you introduced Arnav's character in your first chapter of 2013. I actually had goosebumps on my arms when Arnav wakes up hearing Khushi whispering, "Where are you?" Mind Blowing Meera

I have just recently come across The Emerald Isle Tales Series'and have been reading and catching up with book 1 and now book2, and though I know I do need to go back and read it again to fully and wholly understand your writing, your characters, and the tale that you have weaved'I thought I should just leave a little comment, letting you know that you have found a new fan in me!
I am in awe. The magic. The life at the isle. The characters. The feelings. The undercurrents. The bond. The past. The present. And, The future. It has all been soo beautifully explored that I couldnt stop myself to just continue reading on for good 5 hours through the night. I was hooked, no doubt!
What I have loved the most is how you have explored and unleashed all the boundaries with the names and the characters that we have seen and read about. Arnav and Khushi are just names that you have used here, but you have explored to the core their characterizations that were a amiss in the show. I do not even think about the show when I am reading this because its a whole new world here! Aman and Aditi are new characters that I have read about from your other works, but again, they are so well thought and penned down here. Payal, Shyam, Krishna, Gail, Hannah'all of them'I admire them all and that is because of you.
Second, it is the mystery and suspense surrounding them all that has been hooked. The past plays a huge significance here and that is evident throughout! The equation then and now is completely different. Book one was from Aditi's view, Book two is Payals and Book three is Khushis. All of them are equally so powerful and wonderful to read. I await to see how things will be for Arnav and Khushi because we have only seen glimpses of them'.him coming back, the dance, some words exchanged (barely though), and the tele-communication between them prior to the meeting and afterwards'there is this undercurrent between them and it really pulls you in. I cannot wait for Book 3 and see how Khushi will solve this mystery man, because he is freaking amazing even if he is rude or just hiding lots. I myself cant wait to get into his head! But having said this, I admire the way you have made Khushi'she is layered and it is truly a treat to just read her thoughts, and the magic she has'especially the connections with the powers of the ocean or wind' I have equally enjoyed Aditi's and Aman's story as well!! They are both strong characters and on most cases, I tend to relate to this couple a lot more'despite the bickers, the verbal exchanges, some fights and some love, they have this connection between them. I absolutely LOVE Aman! He is a darling and bechara has a long way to go to get Aditi with him lol Aditi is phataka! She speaks what she feels, be it nice or rude. And, the dreams that she has had about Arnav are another mystery all together'She cares for her sister just like Khushi cares for her'.lovely!! Payals love for Shyam is beautiful. I dont know the future of it especially because with Anjali's death, and now there is Krishna as well'but I have enjoyed reading every bit of Payal!

Keep up the great work Meera! You are a versatile writer who has the ability to truly enchant your readers, be it any genre or with any characters. The Emerald Isle Tales is something completely different from what I have read from you and from anyone for that matter'. Loving it so far, and cannot wait for more See you around!!
