ASR: Version 02-a new man?

Hindsight is a beautiful thing, something all us viewers have the advantage of having. We can all say that he has a long road to redemption but to be honest I think he had that road to follow from the start, whether it was making Khushi stand out in the rain or dropping her from the height in the office. I don't even for a second think he got anywhere near to making it up to her when we were supposedly going through the "love" track. He brought her some bangles and called a doctor-big freaking deal! There are humanitarian workers out there who do more for strangers they've never met in their lives.

Let us take Arnav's viewpoint for a moment-he feels hurt, betrayed, wronged. And all you romantics out there may be saying that well you shouldn't fight fire with fire, that if Arnav really loved Khushi he wouldn't be making her sleep outside or trapping her in unhappiness and well...yes theoretically I agree with you, it does seem inhumane. 😕 But COME ON we don't live in a perfect utopian world where everything is all roses, in the real world people can't take hurt, can't brush it off and see things clearly. As much as we try to tell ourselves we are better people, I think everyone of us acts rashly in anger-ESPECIALLY if that anger is the size of Mount Everest like in Arnav's case. ASR's pride has always been his nemesis right from the get-go and when he finally decided to let those walls down, his whole fortress comes crashing down in an instant. Now tell me if that happened to you, would you really want to put those barrier down again in the fear that you may only fall harder the second time. That's exactly what Arnav is doing when he's not telling Khushi the truth-he's too scared of what he thinks is the supposed truth.

He's wounded and he's put those barriers up again. Strangely although he has undoubtedly become the title that is ASR, I think I detect some of that vulnerability that he keeps so under wraps threatening to seep through. He wants Khushi near him, that is the plain and simple truth. It's like watching an episode of Jerry Springer. You can scream all you want "one a cheater always a cheater" but the "victim" of the cheating will not learn, they always want to keep their spouse near them come what may. Don't ask me why, I'm baffled about this too, but that's just the way the world works my friends 😉. To me he showed his weakness by marrying her in the first place because I feel deep down he can't hand her over to anybody else. He wants her back because a part of him just wants her near him. He likes saying her name over "Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada" again and again, albeit tauntingly, because he likes the sound of it. Have you ever experienced love or a crush and you feel like you just want to keep saying that person's name over and over again? (If not, watch "He's just not that into you" 😆)

His possessiveness for me just rubber-stamps his vulnerability. I believe yes this may well be ASR but not how we saw him before. This ASR is a facade, one that will come crumbling down. Can you honestly say that the ASR before could give two hoots about playing these silly mind games. I mean yes they used to spar but really...he wouldn't even let the poor girl finish a sentence before! Now he has all the time in the world to disregard his clients and have a round of "joh-jeeta-woh-sikhander" with his darling wife, listening to all she has to say and responding to it too. He can no longer ignore her, she has got under his skin. And you know what...he LOVES it! (as do we-entertainment watching two grown adults behave like children😆...yes I watch stuff like Jerry Springer so sue me!) I say bring on the ASR rakhaas because try as he might he is a transformed man, whether he likes it or not. To all those people who say he still has a long way to go for redemption- sure he does but equally I feel he has already come a long way from the original ASR we all knew. He will repent and he will do more damage before good but people have to learn from mistakes. We appreciate the good times all the more for all the adversity we face. Yes he has faults but who doesn't? I for one know this track paves a whole lot of way for more love and understanding.
