I see many posts here bashing Payal. That she is dumb, self-centered, boring, spends time in doing laundry, doesn't feel Khushi's pain, too engrossed in her thoughts on her wedding day and what not. But the main point against her is she doesn't care or love Khushi. I have almost begun to feel pity for her and I do not agree on certain points.
OK, Payal is a girl from a small town, whose parents seem old fashioned. For them girls have only one job to do in life. To be a good wife and manage ghar sansar. Guys if she has grown up in such a household, what else will she do, than doing laundry. But to be fair she does go to market to buy diwali diyas, vegetables, makes tea etc. Even Khushi's aim seem to be a sanskari bahu for that matter.
Payal is quiet, introvert, sensible type of person but she is not dumb. When akash came to her house on new year, she managed quite well with buaji. a dumber person would have been a disaster. Also when mami threatened to break her marriage, she gave it back to her. So she is not dumb. Only in front of Khushi everything just falls into background.

That she is boring is I accept. But that is more of Cv's fault. If you think in recent times she has not been given any decent scene or lines. In fact I felt initially there was quite a scope for Payash romance to develop into something interesting Why they went for such a boring track, I don't know. In fact if they had developed that track into something interesting, it would have given a breather to SARUN. Because both are good actors.

Guys, please don't grudge the poor girl on her wedding day. I mean come on if you are getting married can you think of anything else than your own marriage. And here Payal already knows that she has mami as sasu maa who is going to make life hell for her. Already she is paranoid that something may go wrong. Any human being can be nervous on her d-day

'That she doesn't love Khushi or care is something I don't take. Remeber the day Khushi was stuck in that building/guest house, Payal tried her best to make Shyam m,ake a call to RM and when he didn't , she herself made a call only to hear Mami's rantings. Even then she managed to reach Anjali and then to Aranv. If she had not made that call ASR would not have rescued Khushi. and when he brought her home, Payal gave him her piece of mind. She also made Khushi give up her job. If she hadn't loved or cared for her, would she have bothered? Again when Khushi decided to tell Anjali about Shyam, Payal was ready to break her marriage with Akash. The two sisters always hug, cry together, love each other equally. Only because Khushi is a lead, people are biased towards her. I feel really nice to see them together, reminds me the times I had with my sister before marriage or even now.
In every household, in between siblings there is always one sibling who is smarter and a leader of sorts. Who faces people, who goes out to work first, who is fun loving, who handles crises. That does not mean others who are not that smart don't do their share of responsibilites. Between Payal and Khushi, Khushi is vivacious one, that does not mean Payal has to be bashed all the time.
In fact I am 100% sure Payal is the one who is going to stand by her tomorrow and in the days to come by.😊

I agree. I don't think Payal is that bad or doesn't love her sister - her character development is just a bit sucky from the CVs. I think Payal and Akash are going to have to be some of the people who really support Arnav and Khushi to get back together in love.

🤣 finally the day arrives when we can see 2 angles to every situation! i found a hint of sarcasm, apologies if that was not what you were hinting..

okay sorry about that.. but had to take it out..

and i agree with most of your post.. especially with the background parts..she was brought up in such a background so that's what their dreams are made of. and bingo about every household having two kinds of people! that's what 'reality' is like!

Payal definitely deserves a day. And her wedding day should belong to her. i am sure she'll stand up for Khushi (if the CVs give her a chance too.. 😆) now that they make her boring, lets justify how boring she really can get! ;-)

an argument i was making since morning : every character is justified from their own POV! we cannot help if the CVs choose to potray one above the other. that's what they need to do to make you fall in love with the main leads.. So, remember the ones to actually blame are the CVs..😉
