... is everything really puzzling right now?
I'm seriously confused. I expected Khushi to put up a fight when Arnav blackmailed her. In fact, I expected her to freak out, demand that he tell her why he's doing this (I mean, the contract marriage is not a small thing - it's humiliating for someone who has been raised by the traditional moral and values of a middle class family).
Yet nothing. She didn't say a word. I suppose that I can understand her vacant expression, her distressed eyes. She was obviously bewildered as to what caused Arnav to turn against her like this when only hours before they'd shared smiles. And that confusion could've made her speechless at his cold "proposal". (In addition to that, I'm not sure how much of their conversation is being kept a secret from the viewers.)
But I don't know. I just expected her to at least ask him why.
More than that, I really wanted to sympathize with her, but it's impossible for me with the way that the writers have altered her character. The fact that she's decided to stay silent about Shyam when Arnav so obviously waited for her to talk to him, to reveal. When he gave her more than one chance to come clean, to speak up. I know that she can be nave, but in her place I would've wondered about Arnav's suddenly changed attitude and even told him the truth in order to clear my own troubled conscience. As long as she stays silent, she's just as responsible as Shyam and her family. How can she not see that? I can hardly sympathize with someone who's her own bane.
I badly want to sympathize with her, because I've always loved Khushi for her innocence and straightforwardness. It was refreshing. Basically, I expected her to at least attempt to tell Arnav the truth - and during the scene in which Arnav blackmailed her, I really expected her to ask him why. I doubt that he would've told her at that point. But I don't know. I would've been able to feel bad for her if she'd attempted to come clean but been rejected, well, even distrusted. As of right now, all I can think is that you reap what you sow. Harsh, I know. But I've noticed that female characters often tend to keep secrets that aren't theirs to keep - secrets that have an impact on everyone's lives. It bugs me. Especially secrets such as the one Khushi and her family's been keeping from the Raizada parivaar.
Everything is really chaotic right now and I can't figure out who feels what and why no one's saying anything.
Hoping to have the questions answered during this track.
I'm also hoping that Khushi's family react strongly to this marriage contract (regardless of whether it's presented as love or cold contract). Epecially Khushi's father who knows Khushi really well. I want him more involved with the story line, and specifically with Khushi. Arnav's blackmail is going to have an impact on other than just Khushi's life.
I know that revenge can be sweet, but it leaves a bitter aftertaste. In the end, I fear that Arnav will only damage himself more in his thirst for payback. He's so focused on the culprit that he isn't seeing the people around him, people who might become collateral damage in his plan. Arnav has redeeming qualities, but... I don't know. (Although, whatever he does - good or bad - I probably won't be able to hate him anyway.)
It all depends on how the writers write the characters and story. Gonna have to trust them, I guess. But just wanted to see if anyone else was a bit confused about today's episode.

I hope the writers dnt have another baat hamari pakki hai story lone going. In the end of that serial, they made saachi get amnesia n shravan understood love @ the end.

The hatred track has come, I hope nw we just get to the point, no more side tracks or bring in more confusion. Let the story focus more on the main leads, n stop portraying khushi as a helpess, women whose gna cry all the time.

Really hope the show doesn't get ruined - but I suppose that's what happens wen serials get dragged for so long.

Fingers crossed.
Plus I'd like the other characters more involved with the events now. Mainly Khushi's father and mother.

I agree... I expected her to ask him "Aap yeh sab kyon kar rahe hai Arnav ji?"

They didn't show her asking him anything... but it's possible that they intentionally didn't and instead showed us the Payash wedding sequence.

Also, since they didn't show her protesting, I'm assuming that he didn't bring up the Shyam and Khushi on terrace episode. So she's probably in the dark about what his real motive is?

Yeah, I suppose. Because if he had brought up the Shyam issue, then I'm certain that Khushi would've spoken up and revealed everything. Whether he'd believe her or not...
I'm hoping that we get to hear their full conversation at some point in the new track. Maybe in a flashback or something, or when the air is finally cleared between them.

Totally conphused by today's poolside scene & the wedding scene. Thank God we get to see an episode 2morrow. Hopefully things will be clearer.

What is happening here?

Why? The million dollar question. I wanted her to ask him that!

If he hasn't brought up the Shyam-Khushi hug, then what could he possibly have said? I don't believe in a long lasting marriage, but want you in my bed. So I am proposing a contract marriage/ live in. If you don't agree to it, I will stop Payash wedding. (In other words, my character is dheela as u tried to point out on another memorable moment).

But don't worry. U are worried about appearances, aren't you? We will pretend that we are madly in love, & couldn't wait for the families to approach the family pundit, fix an auspicious date, do haldi, mehendi, sangeet etc. So we went & got married with absolutely no hassle?

If he says this, what is going to go through her mind?

Tedda He, Par Mera He?

Gosh, you put words on my confusion way better than I did 😆 This is exactly what I'm really thinking and wondering about. The whole contract marriage thing is only really confirming both of them in their misperceptions of each other na. And why didn't Khushi ask WHY. I wanted her to ask that so BADLY. I was even mouthing it while she just stared in shock.
Sigh.
Yeah, hopefully tomorrow will bring some more answers? 😕
