They should have shown her face softening and her saying something like Hum theek hain Arnav ji. and then slowly moving his hands away.

Her expressions seemed a bit too aloof to me at that time.

Or maybe she was too flabbergasted with his outburst and was also indignant about his comment in RM that she and NK are a perfect jodi...

Most people sympathize with Arnie..since they show his real emotions most of the time...but with Khushi, its either being chirpy or not thinking about him at all...
