Khushi blushed at the thought of saying it. she didn't know to express love for arnav in three words. How could she say it?

"Sanaya, its 12 o'clock. Get to bed now. ", she said firmly. somehow she had to make it work.

"No", sanaya stomped her feet on the ground." I want to hear you say it, now." , she said loudly this time and crossed her arms the way Arnav did.

She spoke like arnav and had sharpest of the eyes. an attribute inherited from her father. Arnav was surprised by the drama unfolding in front of his eyes. He was enjoying every bit of this. He stepped ahead and stood next to his daughter, reassuring her in a way that made the little girl more confident.

Khushi's eyes dilated to the largest size possible.she couldn't believe what arnav was asking her to do. 'Goodness, he always has his way in such things. I have to get out from here. Hey devi maiya, my daughter is just like his father. How will i handle both'., a confused expression settled on her face.

"u cant do this.", sanaya's eyes had started watering " Do you let me go until i complete my homework? please-

Khushi bent down and wiped her tears . She was a stubborn child. 'So was i and so is arnav.' , she repeated it in her head. 'No doubt she will back off'.

Khushi stood up slowly and shut her eyes tightly. Her heart was pounding louder than sound of the Niagara waterfall. She didn't know why was she so scared. It sure wasn't big thing.

And just then she heard ."Mom , u have to look in dad's eyes and say. "
She opened her eyes and looked at them " I love u both", khushi spoke quickly, relieved it was over.

"What the-?" , two sharp sounds reached her ears in same tone. Ofcorse they belonged to the two people she loved the most in the world.

"I know u love me mom, say only to Daddy." Khushi was flabbergasted.

"Oh-no , i forgot to put my colour box in my bag." , sanaya blurted out, completely forgetting what was going on around. She loved painting. The 5 year old girl had magic in her hands. She ran into her room, not even glancing once towards the startled eyes of her parents.

arnav turned towards khushi . "What excuse do you have now?", he asked , brushing away the strand of hair dancing on her face.

She looked deeply in his eyes and found herself loosing in them .

" I love you , arnav" , she said slowly, much to her surprise.

And time stood still once again. She loved him so much.

He raised his eyebrow,as her soft voice soothing his heart still had not receded. He clutched her from behind pulling her closer.His breath washed over her face and she knew she was loosing control.

"U said it hun? ".. there was but millimetres distance between them ." Well, I love you too." , his voice carressed her pounding heart.

He loved her so much.

"Mommy , u have to tell me a story." They both heard sanaya's voice in the distance.

Khushi opened her eyes ansd saw sanaya entering the room.' Oh , she hadn't seen any of this Arnav wouldn't have been spared', she muttered to herself. She pulled herself away from him and went towards sanaya.

" Mom, ur cheeks change colour!!", she said in a horror and exciting tone. "They were white and now they are red . How did you do that?", she asked , her sleep had vanished after watching the magic show of her mumma's cheeks.

Arnav bent down and kissed her sanaya. "This is how-"
" Come lets go", khushi intervened and this time her cheeks turned more red . Arnav smiled and laughed a little.

He watched her clung to her mother, sleeping soundly in her armas. sanaya looked so much like her.
