His breath came short as his leg took the ball in full control of his. Running and dodging the opposite team players, keeping the ball in between his legs, he soon reached the centre of the field. And then, passed on the ball to his co-player, who was free and shouting out to him to pass on.

Being free from the responsibility temporarily, he ran forward nearing the goal, and stopped right before the line of D.

His1: (shouting) Pass it on! (as he neared the goal) Sameer! Come on! Pass it!!

As his chest heaved up and down, with powerful breaths flowing in and out of his straight nose, his pale browns rose up to see those ever-so-recognisable pair of chocolates, that were a few feet away from where he stood. As his eyes registered a figure in black, approaching him in head-fast speed, from its corners, he took the chance of lifting his left leg up and then, kick the white ball to his right to his partner. And just as he did it, the figure came into vision as it slid down the ground, just missing by an inch to catch bring the ball in his control. The ball, slightly touching the spikes of the player's shoes, reached it's destination, without any hindrance.

As his chocolates, suddenly transfused in red, looked down and his legs rose, simultaneously, to catch the ball, in their space, he turned his whole self to the space in front that was void of any other opposite team player, other than the goal-keeper. As he saw the tensed up goal-keeper, advancing towards him, he steadied the ball with his foot.

Finding a chance to stop him from kicking into the goal, the goal-keeper extended his leg to reach the ball. And as he did, with a swift movement, he raised his leg, and BAM!.. He kicked the black and white ball right into the post that awaited its entry.

Just as the ball passes the goal line, it suddenly bounced back the post. The ball was hit on the goal post, and not into the goal. Just as the cheers had begun to vibrate through the air, it died down with a sound of 'OH' echoing around.

Doing a somersault in the air, he kicked back the ball with his heel, into its rightful spot, making the crowd jump up again in joy, and shout cheers.

Crowd: (bellowing for it's beloved) Arnav! Arnav!

Breathing in a sharp breath, as droplets of sweat trickled down his skin, a slow smile crept up on his face, which extended to a wide grin, when he reached out and hugged Sameer.

Sameer: (elated and hugging Arnav tightly) Dude!! That-was-Seriously' AWESOME!! No one could have done it better than you! (pulling out to see Arnav's face)

Arnav: (Patting Sameer on the back, and as he pulled away) Thanks, Sam! (grinning) Couldn't have done it without YOU!! (bringing their fists up and banging them together, and then, clutching each other's hands in a lock of their thumbs and fingers)

Soon, they felt themselves up in the air, being carried on shoulders of their home people. They shouted, and beamed with huge smiles, and cried hurray's for their long-time heroes, as they made their way out the grounds.

They saw a familiar figure approaching them. Hands clasped together in approval and contentment, a smile or rather a grin on the face in delight, and bright green pools shouting out in excitement.

Sameer: (indicating the crowd to let him down, and Arnav doing the same) Dhrushti! (running to wards the petite figure and then, enveloping it in his arms)

Dhrushti: (hugging Sameer back) That was Splendid!! I loved it!...(pulling back) Oh my God! That last minute thing was very scary!! (indicating the last statement to Arnav and then, running up to hug him)

Arnav: (hugging Dhrushti back) I know!

Dhrushti: (pulling back and walking with the two) No!..Seriously! I felt'We ALL felt..(waving her hands to the crowd all around) Breathless, when the ball bounced back from the post. But that was for short while, when we saw you kick it right back! And GOAL!! (punching her hand into the air, and jumping like a kid) Awesome game, you two!! (giving a high five to both) You guys should get going now. Go, change and get ready for the night! (walking ahead, and then, turning to the side and mocking a salute to them)

Arnav and Sameer: Okie Dokes!! (mocking a salute to her)

i hope not to die wid curiosity :P ..
