Immaturity and ego definitely play a part in all of this. But what Anjali and Shyam also understand about ASR (from different vantage points, of course) is that he has turned his back on 'love, happiness' a long time ago - he refuses to be in a situation where he cannot control. Hence, you see him as part of family events/celebrations but he will always stand aloof from it. The one time he felt that Khushi was getting to him, he 'punished' her hard (read tried to push her away) and refused to back off until she was in mortal danger. For him, dealing with Lavanya is the easier option because he can then believe himself that he remains in total control of his emotions. Of course, the unfortunate collateral damage in all of this is Lavanya. Unless and until the CVs want to use her broken heart as a pawn in Shyam's game.

Frankly, both ASR and KHushi could benefit by giving each other space - it will help both of them to grow up and realise their true selves as well as feelings...just my opinion.

Agree with all the posts here on the topic.
A grown man - professional businessman so out of touch with his own soul/heart and making rash decisions.
I truly wish Khushi succeeds in building her own business independently and stuns ASR with her success with principles and maturity:)

Ya, Why are we not bashing ASR like we bash Shyam for thinking about Khushi while they are committing / committed to other women? Both seems to be in exploitative mode with their emotion towards Khushi. We call one pervert and the other HERO???

In ASR's defense, he is not married to La yet and he IS ipknd HERO😊

If Shyam turns out to be Khushi's brother, then we should be throwing tomatoes at ASR.😆

Thanks for a different Point of View.. I appreciate the chance to argue a viewpoint and analyze all the grey shades that should ideally add depth to a character (and not just romanticize them)

1. Arnav is definitely being a ruthless player leading on La.. but that's the standard characterization of any M&B hero.. they usually justify their actions saying that the ladies know the score.. the said ladies meanwhile plot to settle permanently in the hero's life for superficial reasons like looks & money.. enter the heroine who'll stand upto the hero and tell him what a callous, arrogant so & so he is..and end up falling in love with him anyway:-)

I'm pretty sure Arnav wld. prefer to be in a relationship (loosely termed as such) with La than fall in love with Khushi..or so he thinks.

2. I disagree with this point completely.. he is fighting his feelings and trying to control his wayward thoughts.. forcibly rejecting any lingering memories..pushing them away..pushing her away.. or so I choose to think.

3. I blame the CVs for trying to highlight how great a jiju Shyam is and how even Arnav listens to him by creating these silly episodes with Nani.. initially when he says, I'm my own man..and make my own decisions.. I appreciated the fact that he is not the typical serial hero who is the darling of the family and respects the wishes of his elders like they were carved in stone..but the current track with Shyam's interference does show Arnav in a poor light..CVs pls. wake up to this bit of immature showcasing. I prefer the heroine to be cute & flighty but who is aware of her responsibilities.. but the hero has to be mature, intense, protective.. if possible brooding, sarcastic..ok the list is endless☺️ His flaws should add to his attraction not be off-putting!

p.s. LOVE Arnav flaws and all

actually its a bit confusing wat he wants frm his relationship wid Laa-vanya.😕

..is it his ego clash wid naaniji..

.or is it coz he wants to curb on getting attracted to khushi..

..or he wants to figure out wat he feels or doesnt feel fr laa-vanya..

about his emotions wen he asked d watchman to take away khushi's stuff is i guess trying hard to not remember her or ignore all d things frm his sight dt remind him of khushi n mk him lost in her...he is tryin hard to get her outta his mind..bt is failing..n he doesnt lk dt.😳...

he is matured in business bt wen it comes to relationships n emotions...he is stuck...n nt dt matured..or may b he doesnt wanna get matured..or gettin affected coz he fears he m8 get hurt...lk anjali alwaz says...u hvnt moved on no matter hw much eva u say dt u hv..bt u hvnt n u cant deny dat...

Unlike my assumption before..that his relationship with La is one sided, clearly physical with no assumptions...and it is only La who is after him...and he is not misleading her...today, he was saying things that would mislead any girl...Things like...an invitation to move into his house, that he likes her the way she is (even when he was looking at Jalebi's desk)...😕 Does this man have a plan? I absolutely hated when and how he told Nani that he was moving in with La. I made a post about how I thought he was being a complete idiot and was just saying it to get a rise out of her. But now that it is out of his mouth, he is not going to back down, and neither will Nani. This thing with La is less about La, than a battle of wills with Nani. What doesn't tally with me is since ASR has made it clear he does not want to marry - what is this nonsense leading about?? La doesn't have to prove if she can gel and be the bahu of the house, because ASR never intends her to be one.

Everytime La has said she loves him, he does not reciprocate - so can La say she knows he loves her, no she can't. La is caught in the middle of this - but honestly, I don't feel sorry for her. She is not so much in love with ASR as she is with the idea of being with a powerful wealthy man like ASR. He tells her he likes her the way she is because he doesn't want to perpetuate a false "La" around the house but also because that is supposed to be his answer...until he sees Khushi's desk and realizes maybe not.

His cold and callous attitude when he asked the watchman to remove Khushi's stuff from her desk and send it to her house...( I know, I know...there is nothing bad in what he did...but it was like he was totally sans any kind of emotion..

I loved that moment because that was something we haven't seen in awhile. Arnav putting the ASR mask back on in an instant. The peon says 'Khushi mam's things' and he was so cold saying 'Toh?', but we all know he did it to expunge the uneasiness he felt when he caught himself stopping, looking and reminiscing. He does not want the reminder of her to make him that vulnerable again.

so true.i won't blame lavanya here if she is dreaming of becoming mrs ASR since arnav is making her believe that whether he is doing it to suppress his thoughts which r always revolving around khushi or he is doing it just to prove his point to his nanny that he is the one to make this important decision of his life .so its a battle between his emerging attraction towards khushi and his ego that he has all the rights to make decions of his life but either ways,it's quite childish.inviting la to stay at his place was not needed.it wouldn't have affected his ego but i guess he can go quite far just to prove his point.

Zoya...Yes, that is the most intersting angle about this bizzare decision...isn't it? He is making a decision just to prove his point...and what point is that? My guess...is that the point is that he can decide who he wants to live with without anyone else affecting his decision...

If you look at this way, this is probably in line with his character sketch from before ...he does not care who gets burned in him dciding to do what ever he wants to do without any consideration for anyone...or how it may affect other people's life...excatly the point Khushi has been trying to make since the first time he met her and he held her against her will in Sheesh Mehel causing Payal's marriage to break...

Welcome back Mr. Hyde! 😈We were hoping to see Jekyll for a bit longer...I wonder if Mr. Hyde burned someone dear to Shyam in some way which will explain Shyam's motives...Hmmm🤔
