Suchi you echo my thoughts yet again and have the patience and wherewithal to write in such minute and practical way. Why? Bcoz while watching the epi, the thoughts were swimming in my head not only about how these situations are being handled back home but out here in the west too.

And we as viewers know it too, plus how their egos and parental upbringing is influencing their day to day nok jhonk fights MUs and each upholding their parent. Shlok his baba and astha her mom. Why bcoz they are not listening to the voice of their hearts and out of sheer respect for each parent, have taken the steps that they have.

We know neither astha nor shlok want the divorce except astha's reason is different from shlok's. Yes they both want to appease one of their parents, but shlok is doing out of his worship for baba while astha by mere trust for kalindi at the cost of sacrificing her own feelings for shlok.

avdhoot and ajju kind of know that astha is struggling inside but not kalindi. kalindi's past has become her present while completing ignoring beti's current present emotions. Thank god judge tells her to not get so excited.
