Is Shlok testing Astha instead of revenge

The first time he saw Astha at the Saoutana function he was reminded of Swati and so he broke Astha's bangles. Again in the kolhapur scene he was reminded of Swati and he broke Astha's bangles. Today too held her bangles.

He said the he has been waiting for this night since 3 months , ... Days , hrs and mins. So the insult at award function, or his dad, the plot etc are not the cause. They are distractions purposely played by the Cvs to misguide us. His hatred of Swati and her betraying him is the reason he is doing this. So, what Astha said in the hotel during Kolhapur visit that She is not the cause of his anger and this behavior is probably true.

Swati most likely left him after she saw his family and how orthodox they are. She appeared to be a very modern girl living by herself in an apartment in Pune. Shlok is really attracted to Asthaa and actually knows that he loves her but does not want to really give in for the fear of losing her. The real Shlok thus is frightened of losing her. He wants to see if Astha can live in that very same environment that Swati would have to live and still love Shlok. if Astha succeeds in that, then Shlok is ready to give himself completely to this girl. He will save her if her life is in danger, because he knows he cannot loose her. Thus all these twisted dialogues.

He took her to Kolhapur to test her. His asking for proof for Jyoti again testing Astha's love for him and his family, the suicide drama all are his tests to see how much she can stand and will she?

He knows he is going to hurt her but he loves her. His conscience has been telling him that. The first night after marriage Shlok was in white Kurta and he gave the teddy and Astha's parents photo, because he knows that when she will be heartbroken by him, those will be her support, Her parents and Ajju and her teddy which is Shlok's substitute. The kiss on the forehead today again signified that he does care for her but does not want her to know that he Truelly loves her. Swati made mockery of his true love and broke his heart. So he is actually mending his own heart this way. He probably is against the traditions but wants to see if Astha still endures them for him. His guilt of this overtakes him and so he also took the milk and water when he could see it was too much of an insult for Astha.

So I do not think this is revenge but rather is a test of endurance of Astha before giving himself to her and again loving. Shlok's insecurities are playing here. Thus the dialogue to Sojal to make Astha do everything. I think Shlok will still be there in some way to help her if it becomes too much for her as we saw when she burnt her hand while making Shira.

He wants to see how she can endure all this alone and still love him. When the dupatta got caught in thee fan he warned her to be careful as he cannot be there always.

So here we see a man, very passionate and caring, but was betrayed by the very person he loved and so now wants to test Astha's love for hiim before declaring his love.

Wake up Astha as a strong girl. Fight the evils in this house and stay there till you win Shlok's love. Shlok himself will then take you away from all these hardships once he can acknowledge his love for you without the fear of losing it.

Shlok loving Kayva is telling us again that he is not against women and will not want only a son like his father.

Nice post. Honestly right now i don't care what is reason behind shlok's behaviour. I just hope he repents a lot.

If he is testing astha because of his bad past with swati then this is agnipariksha for astha.

Anjali speaks all that NA wants. So they have again brought up the issue of female feoeticide and having a son only. So now you can see NA did not support Jyoit! but Shlok was mad at Jyoti's MIL when she spoke about Jyoit being pregnant in female child

Just as a note female feoeticide is one of the big issues in indian society at this time. The state of Maharashtra has many girls whose parents named them NAKOSHI - meaning unwanted . these girls were given the chance to change their names during filling forms for secondary or the madhyamik examination and the govt bore the expense of the affidavit to make the new name legal. A campaign by the government of Maharashtra that these girls do not live with that name ( unwanted) which itself is an insult to Any girl or woman.

lets assume tht wat u r saying is true ..bt then i dnt understand who has given him right to destroy n betray a girl jst to remove his insecurities??..he knows how much Astha loves him n trusts him..who has given him d rgt to break her trust n heart into million pieces like this jst to test her??..who has given him rgt to kill her soul n her self respect ?? ..he could hv tested her before marriage...n then after testing her enough n assuring his own heart, he shd hv gone ahead n married her...Now after marrying her, he s testing her by destroying her so tht she wont have any other choice bt to stay wid him due to social reasons??..m sorry bt if this is way to test Astha then i would definitely term Shlok as a mentally sick person..😡😡 not capable of love n even any kind of feelings..

and after enduring so much pain and heartbreak and insults at his hands when Astha will come to know tht whatever he has done was to test her..wat she shd do??..jst be happy tht now Shlok has fallen in love with her..n shd live her life peacefully with him...No way...

He also shd give hell lot of tests for her love then..jst coz he s a man .he shdnt escape unhurt frm all ths...
