I have a different view on the science thing... I think it was always the premise that Advey is all science and Chandni n Dev are spiritual / traditionalist ... I think that was suppose to be the polar opposite which would come to meet somewhere in the middle ... That's why Chandni ( who is epitome of spiritual , traditional beliefs ) was explaining how modern science could interpret how a temple door would open with certain mantra / voice activation ... It's like a merger of traditional medicine with modern allopathy to come up with holistic medicine ... I absolutely loved the idea

The problem is ... It's very difficult to incorporate science in drama without botching everything ... Even western tv shows with better grasp of cgi or theories cannot do it ... That's why harry potter ( philosophical ) or superheroes ( fictional science ) works ... Very few shows have actual science interpretations ...LOST and Fringe in recent times had some rooted science and even they couldn't pull it till the end ... So I knew science wouldn't fly with IPK 3 gven TRP Janta likes bhoot and snakes ... But I was still curious about it

The selling point in serials are always romance and IPK3 had huge potential for it ... I'm so sorry we never got to see the whole gamut of it

Which comes back to my point that I don't think SP were not really committed to an anti-hero dark love story from the beginning!

ASR 1.0 got toned down because of SP!

Sabi - I completely agree with what you say... the original characterisations of Advay and Chandni was about their differences and how they compliment each other and how through their journeys they meet in the middle...

His belief in revenge, hers in forgiveness... her initial dialogs about not needing to beat anyone and anger never helps a cause just ruins it... was all about showing their differences...

Had we got the full original story it could have been so deep and beautiful... bloody need for TRP trivialised so much of it and them!

I respect your views. The original concept that the religious rituals can be explained through science was good thing except that science is not a religion. Religion is related to spirituality while science doesn't believe in soul.

The meeting of science and spirituality is something which looks good on paper but impossible to exhibit on screen like you mentioned above with different examples. Also. there were already too many subplots going on. They should have kept things simple. focus on main story,get it established and then move on to next one and usually gul is really good at it. This time, I just don't know why the team acted so unprofessionally.

The CGI effects are best suited to paranormal/fantasy genre, gul is expert in mills and boons romance, she should focus on her strengths. and she should make paranormal dramas to deal with science and philosophical matters.

I am just sad among all this we didn't get the chance to enjoy more of barun and shivani and even indrani!
