Redux: baby steps and some observations

Warning: This is an ainvyi post in honour of Annika finally learning to make dosa------beginner's effort.😃

Where did the scrapping scene go?? 😆

Its good that some progress is being shown in shivika's interactions but I am still hoping for a more light hearted banter between them to begin.

I agree! The makers are trying really hard to bring the chemistry back but it's still not creating the same impact 😕 I don't know why but I feel these new characterisations are not suiting Nakuul n Surbhi...yaar Shivaay ka ungelled hair bhi uss ko suit Nahin Kar rahe 😔 it gives such a shabby feeling to what SSO is actually supposed to be! Beyond that SSO doesn't seem to share the same warmth with Prinku as he used to feel for his brothers. That was just beyond awesome...the initial promos, the actual episodes and h*** even the original Ishqbaaaz montage was filled with that love and bromance! I hope that Priyanka's story is soon done n over with and the makers can concentrate on the OBros bond more coz the cheerful and happy maahaul of the Oberoi family is what garnered the TRPs in the first place. Like initially even though Shivaay was Shakti n Pinky's son, the love n care n apnapann of Tej n Jhanvi was still there may it be his initial wedding with Tia, their daily interactions, Veer-Saumya's track, yahan tak ke Vanvaas track mein bhi nafrat honay ke baawajood woh family waala bond feel hota tha, and all of this gave really happy family vibes to the viewers. This time even though the grandeur for Priyanka's roka was there but I kept missing the presence of Oberoi parents 😕 in Shivaay's roka at least we had the first Shivika's face to face meet so that subdued the absence of the family but now it feels there's a void gap or something! Maybe they're trying to build the Shivika' for the redux n only then they'll concentrate on Rikaara n Rumya...n I'm hoping the senior Oberois too...for now I don't have really high hopes from the redux anymore...but I do hope I'm proven wrong n we get the same excitement back in our show.

Shivika's original story and chemistry was unique and we can't expect that be recreated...And they aren't trying to either...

this is a new story with the same characters...the story has molded these characters into something different from the original character set of Shivika...

Shivika's initial story was based on Takkar...their explosive chemistry...while in AU Shivika are connecting through their pain...two people who had to raise up above circumstances to fight the battle against the world for their loved ones...that itself changes the entire premise of the story...

There's more to Shivaay than his gelled hair and tip top dressing...because in both the universes underneath his exterior there was and is a man who wouldn't hesitate to even die for his loved ones...and that's what makes him SSO...

About characterisation...IB isn't the first show that NM and SC were a part of...they both had shows n characters other than Shivaay Singh Oberoi and Annika...and I'm 100% sure that they will pull this off too...

SSO in original story though hard due to dysfunctional family, still had a billuness to him that courtesy of his dadi n siblings...that's what tickled down to Obro's n Prinku's scene...

He was responsive to them...they had effect on him...

In AU he is the same great wall of SSO to his siblings n family...but has created a wall around himself that his siblings can't breach...it's the part of his character now...and it has nothing to do with obro's or Prinku...it's how Shivaay had made himself...even if instead of Prinku Obro's were highlighted the situation wouldn't change...

Shivaay always had a good relationship with prinku...even more than her own bros...at least for me Shivaay-Prinku bonding is beautiful...where Shivaay protects and loves his sister with everything...and Prinku tries hard as she can to soothe her brother's pain, try to make him forget his pain with her antics...like trying to hug him every now n then knowing he won't respond...it's kinda cute...😆

Obros bond was good in the initial episodes due the love they had inspite of the conflicts...but towards the end it just was boys gang n girls gang where they thought n worked like an entity...besides this story is based on the pain of two individuals connecting them together...so yeah comedy tracks may come...but we have to remember that the overall premise will remain dard...

We know by now the reason why they can't bring back the senior Oberoi's...NA has gone on leave n MT is appearing in another show...without these two what would the presence of Jhanvi n Shakthi bring in the situation...so we have to come to terms without them...
