The vulnerability that Shivaay showed in the second scene while telling her how much he loves her...earnestly asking her to not react, not listen to what others say...it was just unbelievably touching...that's the thing...no matter how many times Shivika repeat these scenarios of needing faith from each other, these two pour SO much CONVICTION into their lines that we feel their emotions so tangibly...sabke bass ki baat nahin

+1000. Aaj to gush karne ka man kar raha hai. Both on Shivika and on NM-SC. I want to wrap them both in a bubble and keep them safe. Kisiki nazar na lage unhe and actually hamein bhi coz what an amazing week we have had! I still can't believe it!
Just reading through the thread and I realised ki mujhe kuch kehne ki zaroorat hi nahin thi. You guys have said it all and so well.

I was thinking back to that scene after he gives Anika the custody papers where she tells him "aap iske baad kuch nahin bhi bolenge to chalega. Aap mere jo sab karte hain usme saaf dikhta hai ki aap mere liye kya feel karte hain...aap ko kuch bolne ki zaroorat nahin hai. I don't remember the exact lines (need to go back and watch for that) but something to that effect.

But in this case, for some inexplicable reason most of the fandom seems to feel this burning need to see Shivaay "choose" Anika over family...lol I am still stumped as to why that is such an obsession...Shivaay putting his family ahead of everyone, including himself is a basic defining trait of his character...

Anyways, this is like a rehash of the time when the fandom needed to officially hear that Shivaay sees the mother of his kids in her...his gestures apparently didn't do the job enough of conveying it...spoonfeeding zindabad😆

So now we can get an OFFICIAL stamp on Shivaay showing that Anika is also a priority for him by supposedly choosing to shield her first...lol but he's trying to get the evidence against his family at the same time too, no? So how is this "choosing" Anika only? lol he is trying to save both as he usually does😆

AY the gifs are lovely. Makes one appreciate the scene even more. It's so organic and the little touches and nuances can be felt so much more.

@Fary: so with you on the show rather than tell part. I am with Anika when she says "aap ki kanji aankhein sab bol deti hain. Words are almost superfluous and redudant with them. And when we have two such fine actors portraying them who can convey so much without words, words become redundant even for us viewers. And NM-SC are all about subtlety. Sometimes words feel like taking a hammer and hammering it in.
And to me too their passionate scenes are not about "hotness but depth of emotion. The passion is just an expression of that. There is so much more to them than "hotness and passion is just one part of it. That's the whole beauty of their scenes. That they are all so layered and nuanced. Which sets them apart from the usual lollipop scenes that such scenes usually are.

Am going to be on vacation for a week starting tomorrow with doubtful internet connectivity just when we are getting such a lot of Shivika. Fingers crossed the good run continues and I have loads of threads and threadworthy episodes to catch up on when I get back.
As long as Shivika are front and centre kuch na kuch accha to hota hi hai (thoda bahut hi sahi) whatever and however be the plot line. Bas focus inpe rakhein.
