Hello to all who might be familiar with my username *nods weakly* Yes, I am still watching this show but my visits here have become sparse. Perhaps it is in correlation to the downward trajectory of the show overall. But yes. I am still watching, the hopeless masochist that I am, waiting for a glimmer of substance and good scenes for my ship- which sadly has become rarer than it used to be. Oh well, that is a story for another day...😆

What prompted me to make a post after all this while was to vent about what a trashy, mean, vile and appalling episode was dished out to us today. In my humble opinion, today a very very low bar was set for IB. Some of the things I saw today that had me taken aback were-

1. The GODAWFUL dance of ShivOm's in celebration of Rudy's wedding- totally out of the blue, and they looked like a couple of deranged morons. Queen Svet got it right as usual, bhawkla gaye thhe donon😆 Shiv in particular was looking so classless- we are supposed to buy that this is the man who objected to Dhinka Chika just two weeks ago😕😆

2. ANOTHER Dance; *Surprise Surprise*- (BTW, Have they employed a dance enthusiast anew on the team of writers, that we have to see a dance sequence FREAKING. EVERY. DAY.😡🥱) That victory dance of the Oberois around Svet- jeering, mocking, taunting- didn't make them seem as the good guys. Even kids in kindergarten would show more class. Downright juvenile and pathetic, to say the least. I am borderline cheering for Svet to blow them all up for just that one dance.

3. The fake dulha- Another tasteless attempt by the writers, showing the Dulha as a dark, teethy man under the sehra- apparently this is Sumo getting her just desserts by being married off to a not so handsome chap. Yes, the cute, intelligent and righteous Soumya is a thing of yore- she is now a Nafratbaaz🤪 but GOD. Do they have to rub it in our faces? And ironic that once RumYa's story was about challenging conventional notions of beauty and asserting that physical appearances are not the be all and end all to life...and we have today's episode with such a pathetic and grotesque attempt at a "joke" by using such cheap methods to induce laughter.

4 The funny part is the writers couldn't even stick to their appalling plot line and confused the viewers with Shiv's poorly edited voiceover about how Soumya's shadi is nakli and how the Oberois are better than that...Yeah, right🥱 The rest of the episode on the other hand showed that the marriage had indeed taken place and Sumo is now legally wedded to the guy🥱 The writers don't even the balls to stick to what they're writing, they want to take a moral high ground as well😡

What really pains me, however, is that I am 100% sure of the ratings these episodes will garner. So gimmicky, such desperate attempts at TRP inducing drama...but they will get the ratings. And THAT is a punch to my gut.

I thought Ishqbaaz became family circus but after watching the today's episode,it was a MONKEY FESTIVAL and OM became a Zoo literally😆.

Whole the family including Shivaay,Anika,om all became MONKEYS and looked like JOKERS😆.

Saumya asking how,why,what,where details of obros plan and Shivaay explaining line to line details to her😆.

Why the hell the groom in the Rudy's place had Tooth paste on his mouth?😕😆

Some Nafrat song in the background while all the family playing Ringa ringa roses arond Swetlana all giving MONKEY expressions😆

The most OTT and cring inducing thing was Shivkara dance😕😆,kya tha wo😕 it was more worse than the clip in gul's insta story.

This was the most cring inducing episode of IB to me as i still didn't watch the episode of Kick scene yet😆.i didn't watch all the dance baaz episodes shown in last one month😆 idk whether all the episodes were like this😆

I reached beyond the cribbing phase and now i can laugh at these crap festival😆

Those things in BOLD that you pointed out. CRINGE, CRINGE AND CRINGE.

Episodes like these which are a resolution or the high points of a drama are meant to make you cheer for the protagonists. But today's just made me want to cheer for the main antagonist- Queen Svet. She has more dignity in her little finger than all these useless Oberois combined.

It is a sad day when I find the male half of my ship to be totally classless- but Shivaay was that and more today. 🥱

Today's episode was worse than the kick wala episode and that is saying something.

Yeh, that song about Mohabbat or something while the Oberois pranced gleefully around Svet- apparently that was supposed to signify ishqbaazi winning over nafratbaazi or something😕😆 Very subtle👏🤣

I could not get myself to watch after I saw the updates.. 'tasteless' is the right word. For all the IB twists and turns so far, at least the SSO character had remained classy. Today even that changed.

agree on all your points, and it seems it's not over yet. There is more to come for the CVs glorification of their favorite character- more than one week and they are still shooting for Ruvya's wedding and rasams😆

with regards to your points:

1) ShivKara dancing like that was out of class and so not them at all- nothing can even sell these two dancing like this for me

2) The dancing was such a mockery

3) That dulha was of a bad taste, but then we should have expected this from CVs. Dream wedding, kick in face and obviously they had to break their own records of cheapness? what else were you expecting? Truth be the whole story has become so crass now, no villains have ever been treated or ridiculised as much as Soumya was just to sell CV's favorite character 👏- Bolo Jai Gul Maata ki

4) That dialogue was an edited one put in the end most probably because they knew they took the joke and mockery of Soumya too much. But that in no way makes up for what was given.

and lastly, yep this week will get trps, infact very good trps. Afterall it was a wedding drama, with lots of suspense, rona dhona etc( they tried to replicate ML to some extent here), and given it was shivika as leader again- full points to get good trps🥱

But even if they do get trps, it's another truth that the levels of IB has gone completely down now. Not one single character has been saved from butchering now🥱

anyway now its all Bhavya, Bhavya and Bhavya and to get her we'll be getting loads of groupscenes, groupscenes and groupscenes

i returned after watching the gunshot promo-KM raaz, and right now i'm so pissed that KRR has been sacrificed in this RuVya's wedding completely. The KRR which was brought to know about Veer's true motive and insider- but end main was given just to sell lame group scenes and now to salvage the wedding👏

and we have another good track biting the dust thanks to the lack of creativity of CVs and obviously the ego of the maker too😊

right now even Narbhi/Shivika cant make me watch such lameness

ending on my poor Soumya, i'm sad that Neha even returned, because this wasnt a grey or dark or villain character- this was complete degradation of Soumya as a character

After so many months..finally iam commenting here😆

Iam totally agreed with ur 3rd para..

No need of bringing that guy as sumo's fake hubby..that was one more downright pathetic joke from gul and co..

They showed rumya love story as a handsome boy falling in love with a chubby girl.physical appearance is nthng infront of true love..

But today they mocked their own concept..during rumya marriage revelation..rudy said i will not marry such fatty lady.eventhough that time he said it to hide his love for sumo..his ego stopped him to admit his love for her..haan that rudeness , khandaani bimari hai..

After that they changed complete story of rudy and rumya became memory..today cvs shows that physical appearance matters..according to cvs soumya only deserves dark toothy man or such men is just a clown..the whole oberois laughed at him shows their nasty behaviour..even rudy also didn't changed..the way he mocked soumya..look at ur handsome hubby and his sarcastic smile..he still believes in slimy girls..

Gul needs to stop insulting women..

Hello😃 Nice to see a familiar face, or in this case, a familiar username around!🤗

The sad part is, I am still watching the show. I really don't know why😆 But a couple of episodes more like today's might just turn out to be the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.But I don't think Gul and Co care because they are laughing their way to the bank😆

Thanks for the post and I agree with everything you have stated... This is just another episode that makes me dislike the Oberois especially the male half who are supposedly the righteous ones.

Since the last few weeks I gave been hoping that for once the villains ought to win and show the O family a mirror. They aren't as pious as they think.

And yes, you rightly pointed out the loopholes galore today apart from the obvious lack of class- Rosie now doesn't give a damn about exposing the mysterious enemy Oberoi, does she? So it doesn't matter to Anika and Shivaay about exposing her identity in front of everyone- toh yeh drama kiya kyon😕😆

What you said in BOLD is just spot on. 👏 Honestly, I am still processing the episode and am at a loss for words. Lovely discussion though👍🏼

Sad, wasn't it? They ridiculed one of the core concepts of their story today by showing that- in a way, it is just an analogy for how much the show has gone downhill nowadays. Sad, but true.

Moral of the story is, women whose weight are on the healthier side do not deserve handsome husbands. Point noted.😡
