After her discharge, Omkara and Gauri along with Gauri's mother came back home. Gauri was advised to take bed rest for a week from then. Omkara was in an emotional mess. He knew he didn't do any good by hiding the truth and was drowning himself in a pool of guilt.

Gauri woke up after a long time only to find her husband sitting beside her. He then helped her to sit so that she can rest her back against the bed.

"Omkaraji! I forgot to ask you. Ghar pe haalat kaisi hai? Aur aapne aise kaise chod diya ghar ko? Bade bhaiyya aur Bhabhi toh ghar pe nahi haina?

Somewhere he knew this was coming. He gulped his emotions and took her hands in his.

"Gauri! I have to confess something he said confusing her.

"Woh, Svetlana is in jail now

Gauri felt happy listening to the new piece of information.

"Acha hua! Who womaniya chali gayi. Par kaise Omkaraji? she asked him excitedly.

"Woh..woh Gauri, hamara plan tha. Hum ne Svetlana ke saamne kamzor hone ka naatak kiya thaaki woh bewakoof ban sake. Shivaay se alag hona ek naatak tha he said with his head slightly bent down.

"Hum matlab?

"Mei..

"Aur? she questioned with a straight face.

"Rudra..

"Aur?

"Shivaay...

"Aur?

"Annika.. he said looking down holding her hands and her face went emotionless.

She gave out a sarcastic chuckle at her own fate.

"Bewakoof toh aapne bana hi diya Omkaraji she said and he looked up.

"Sultana ko nahi..Par hame. Bahut bahut shukriya Omkara ji she told him mockingly.

Omkara was baffled. He was used to her questioning him but this side was totally new to him. He caught hold of her hands again

"Gauri, mein jaanta hoon ki meine bahut badi galti.. he tried apologising her while she cut him mid-way.

"Omkara ji, aap kuch nahi jaante she said looking at him emotionlessly.

"Gauri, aisa nahi.. he tried to continue holding her hands but she wriggled them out of his hold making him lose at words.

"Making sure that I don't come in front of papaji, bearing all the taunts about how I can't handle the house being a bahu and the snide remarks on how I am not the right one for you, taking care of dadi even after knowing that she preferred others more than me, nothing ...none of these hurt me as much as you hurt me today by hiding the truth. Ek baar bata dethe toh kya hojata? she asked him while a lone tear escaped her eyes. She was tired of fighting her fate. She was done with being taken advantage of every single time.

"Days and nights I spent thinking about you, your health, your well-being. I spent countless nights thinking about how this would be a burden on you, how bad you would be feeling to be away from your brother and kept thinking about the ways to ease your pain. I made it a habit to wait for you at night just to ensure that you have your dinner and sleep. And now I get to know that all that while you were at your brother's place and all this was drama? Maybe you didn't find me worthy enough to take part in your plan but you could have at least told me and asked me to stay out of it. I would have had been away from the misery.

"Gauri...please meri baat..

"You care for my happiness right?

"What kind of questi..

"Haa ya Na Omkaraji?

"Haan

"Toh hume akela chod dijiye

"Gauri..

"Leave before I lose control she shouted.

Om had tears in his eyes seeing her state. What did he turn her into? He wondered with tears in his eyes and calmly left the place respecting her decision.

Gauri leaned back on the bed post with tears flowing down her eyes. Why does her fate keep bringing her down? What did she do to deserve all this? She never in her dreams thought that she would take such a tone with her husband. But he hurt her deeply and she will need time to come out of it.

Omkara came outside the room and sat on the sofa covering his face with his hands and tears in his eyes. It was high time he mends things between them. That was when he felt someone putting a hand on his head and lifted his head to find that it was Gauri's mother. He saw her hand over a glass of water to him and then she sat beside him. She knew she has not been much of a mother to Gauri because it was always the other way around. So she thought she would at least be a moral support to her son in law if not a good mother to Gauri.

Scene after Omkara leaves OM:

There was a pin drop silence after Om left the mansion. It was too hard for everyone to digest that Om left the house on his own.

Shivaay and Rudra stood there looking at the door through which Om left. Annika was left clueless as to what to do. They wanted to go with Om after knowing that Gauri is in hospital but refrained themselves seeing Om's rage. Though these fights were common in their family, this was totally unexpected from Om that it took some time for them to come to reality.

The first one to react was the eldest of the house. Kalyani Oberoi.

She widened her eyes and mouth in disbelief and started slumping down to the floor when Annika caught her mid-air.

When she thought everything was falling into the place, why does it have to happen to her family? When she wanted to celebrate the end of separation from her eldest pota, why does Om have to leave the house? Why did he come to the conclusion that she didn't consider Gauri as her bahu? Well, she did support her. She went back down her memory lane to find evidence of when she supported her bahu, and when she found none, she widened her eyes in realisation. Luckily Annika was there to hold her.

She didn't know what to do and repeated what she generally does.

"Yeh sab kya ho raha hai iss parivaar mein. Meine kya paap kiya hai. Aisa nahi ho sakta. Iss parivaar nahi toot sakta. Mujhe pata hai Billu sab theek kar dega. Haina Annika? she asked her eldest grand bahu who was supporting her while Annika for the first time did not give back the assurance to her, nevertheless hugged her back. She did love dadi but how can she again put everything on her husband just after they came back and that too for something which is not in his hands? "Billu sab theek kar dega she said again not noticing others looking weirdly at her. Well, she certainly can't be blamed as she was getting old and her age was not letting her think anything beyond that.

Shakti was, as usual, a mute spectator. Well, no one knew what was going on in his mind. He really did feel bad for what has been happening in the house off late. And when Om pointed out Pinky's taunts against Gauri, he got reminded of n number of times his wife plotted against her own family, called her own son illegitimate, taunted his DILs for their status and background and he regretted deeply. Wasn't it his responsibility to make sure that his wife doesn't create any ruckus in the family? He somewhere felt he was responsible for what his wife is today as it should have been him who should have stopped his wife the very first day. If only he had a bit of courage and spoke up when needed, this day would have never had come. He developed a deep sense of regret and drowned himself in a pool of guilt as he did not take care of the only person in the house who cared for him crossing the LOC even if she did not have a reason to. Gauri. He gave a look of disappointment towards his wife and left to his room.

Pinky gave her usual I don't care look. Though deep down, she might have felt bad but her own ideologies of naam,khoon and khandan were so deep rooted that she would never willingly come out of it. How much ever she tried convincing herself that she loved her son, she knew that she loved his status more. If she really loved her son, his happiness should have mattered more to her which lied in his wife. But no. She herself did not know how she developed a soft corner for Annika and that too only when she was leaving. May be it was instinctive. But yes, if someone points out their finger at her, can she tolerate? No

"Arey Omkara ko jalan hai mere bete Shivaay se. That's why he couldn't tolerate the truth that Gauri or even him can never handles the house she shouted in fury but when she did not get a back answer, she looked around not finding her partner-in-fights that is Jhanvi.

She walked to Shivaay and got hold of his shoulder

"Shivaay! Acha hua ki tu aagaya she cried hugging him but his reaction was never the one she expected.

"Meine aapko abhi tak maaf nahi kiya Mrs.Oberoi. I did not forget even a single thing. Door rahiye mujhse. Aur jo aap ne abhi abhi kaha haina, uske baad toh mere paas bhi mat aayiye he said coming out of the hug and left the place while Annika and Rudra couldn't help but feel bad at the turn of events.

No one noticed that the two main characters were missing in the hall, the people who got the biggest reality check. Omkara's father and mother.

As soon as Om left the place, Tej and Jhanvi were the most affected people. Tej was not able to comprehend what just happened and left the house in rage. Well, this time, rage at himself.

He reached his office, the study room and that was when Om's words started to sink in. Was he really happy in his life? His son called him papa for the first time and that when he was leaving. Should he be happy that Om addressed him as papa or should he be sad that he left as soon as he did? He was mad at himself. What did he even become? What happened to him? Was he the same business man? Yes, he did commit many sins in the past, tried to burn his own wife, tried to dictate his son's life, brought his mistress into his own house but wasn't that changing when he got to know the true colours of Svetlana? Didn't he already consider Gauri a part of his family and was he not concerned about her when the bullet hit her? And wasn't it Svetlana who blackmailed him to become peter and made him a joker in front of his family? Then why on earth did he go join hands with her again? And did he ever try to find what that Peter-Kaveri drama was for? What was wrong with him? He was one of the most successful businessmen and he was being played by people left, right and center. Where did his brains go? And he could have used all that time to mend his relationship with his son instead. And moreover wasn't he the one who said that relations are fragile and stuff and asked his son to sort it out with his wife? How did he become so bipolar? And wait! What did he do in his anger? Shraadh? His bahu's shraadh? In which era is he living in? How come he behaved like a typical saas in a soap opera? Hell! Even they are far better. And what did she even do to get such kind of treatment from him? Wasn't she the one who brought out Svetlana's truth and helped them throwing her out? Wasn't it because of her, his son is happy today? And what did he do? Ended up trying to dictate his son's life again by stating that she cannot be his son's wife. He was hell furious on himself. That was when he let his emotions rule his own self. That was when he understood what emotions meant. That was when he became like his son. He lifted the study table in anger and threw that at the window. Soon, he crashed every small thing in the room and sat down holding his head. He rewrote the saying, beta baap pe gaya hai.

Shivaay was devastated. His brother left the house and he wasn't able to do anything. When he came home after he made sure that Svetlana was in jail, he was very happy. But when he stood at the door listening to Om speak, his face paled. How did he forget that his sister's shraadh was done by his bade papa? When he didn't forgive his own mother for what she did to his wife, then how can he ask his brother to forgive his bade papa for what he did to his brother's wife? How did he let such injustice happen to her? To the person who respected him so much? His well-wisher at every step? His rakhi sister? A lone tear escaped his eyes. Somewhere he knew that his brother's actions were totally justified. That was when he realised that someone was hugging him from the behind. His wife.

Annika felt bad listening to what Gauri faced when she wasn't there. When they both were partners-in-crime, why didn't she include her while they were busy plotting against Svetlana? How must have Gauri felt when she was totally ignored? Didn't Gauri help her many times? Wasn't she her constant support? Then how did she not think about it once? She knew what happened to her was a total injustice. She was somewhere happy that she will now get the deserved life as she trusted Om with her little sister. She wished that Gauri recovers as soon as possible. She knew it would be difficult for her husband to accept the reality but she promised herself to be his support all throughout.

Rudra was sad that his brother had left the house but nevertheless, he was happy for his chulbul Bhabhi. Though he says that he loves Shivaay more than anything, no one knew that he loved Omkara equally. Though he wanted to stop his brother, he knew that it wasn't the right thing to do as his brother left on his own and his reasons were justified.

Jhanvi was the one who was the most affected. She got the biggest reality check of her life and that too from her own son who can go to the extent of sacrificing his life for her. No one noticed her silently retreating to the room. Jhanvi slumped to the floor. The realisation hit her hard. He lost two people who put her above their own lives. She failed as a mother and as a MIL as well. When his sons needed love, where was she? She turned an alcoholic for what? Instead of being a support to his sons, she ruined her and her sons' lives just because her husband ignored her. How can she call herself a good mother when she did not even stop his own son from taking a harsh decision like marrying his father's mistress? Which woman would tolerate that? How did she become so blind in love for her husband that she chose to support Tia and belittle Gauri? The person because of whom she is alive? Didn't she save her life not once but twice? Wasn't Gauri the reason why his son is alive and happy? And was she not the reason why she got to know about bua ma's reality? She lost the only two people who were her constant support. And she was the one who found Gauri perfect for Om. She was the one who supported her in the beginning. Then how did she take a 180-degree turn? If she is with her husband today, it is because of Gauri. She realised that she overlooked Gauri's sacrifices. Maybe she can call her son a few days later after her bahu gets back to normal, asking him to come back. She believed that her son will never say no to her and got lost in her happy world not realising her folly.

A few days later:

Om was at home in Bareilly when his phone rang. He lifted the call when he found that it was from Rudra.

"Hello beta he heard a voice and realised that it was her mother's.

That made him scowl.

"Hello, Om..Are you able to hear me? she asked and got no reaction.

That was when she heard Gauri ask him from behind.

"Kaun hai Omkara ji she heard her bahu ask but the answer shook her very self.

"Wrong number Gauri she heard her son say and the line went dead. That is when she knew the extent of the damage she did to her son's life. She cried at her fate not knowing what to do. She knew that he wouldn't lift the call if she does directly. She knew that the brothers were very much in touch. The only thing she could do was to call from Rudra's phone and now that her son wasn't willing to talk to her, she was totally shattered. That was when she realised she lost her son completely.

A year later:

Rudra came running happily in search of Shivaay.

"Bhaiyya! Om se call aaya hai Germany se. Woh papa banne wala hai. Aur aap bade papa! he screamed in joy and both hugged each other.

The whole family was happy with the news. That was when Dadi was back to spirits.

"Kya?? Sacchii? she exclaimed with pure joy on her face. "Gauri maa banne waali hai? Shivaay please Om ko waapis bulao na she finally remembered her grand-son and her grand-bahu.

Shivaay sighed deeply seeing his adamant dadi.

"Dadi! Woh nahi aayega he said.

"Koshish karna beta. Mujhe pata hai ki tum sab theek kar doge she said again making everyone roll their eyes.

"Dadi! It was Om's decision to move out and I have no say in that. As a brother, I have to respect it. I will try once for your sake

He called Om and put the mobile in speaker.

"Om bahut bahut badhai ho he smiled.

"Thanks Shivaay. Tum soch bhi nahi sakte ki aaj mein kitna khush hoon he heard Om say. Everyone smiled listening to the happiness in his tone.

"Gauri kaisi hai?

"Woh theek hai Shivaay. Woh bas aaram kar rahi hai

"Om I have a small request

"Sochna bhi mat shivaay everyone could hear the change in his tone.

"I will never step into that place if that is what you want to ask me. I am sorry Shivaay but I stand by my words

"Om par..

"Nahi Shivaay. I don't want to come there and make it difficult for them to write for us. Mei yaha theek hoon Shivaay. Aur mei apne biwi ka khayal bhi rak sakta hoon he said with an ultimatum while dadi slumped down again unable to bear the thought that she won't be able to play with her grand grand pota.

"Theek hai Om. Apna aur Gauri ka khayal rakhna. Rakhta hoon Shivaay said and cut the call.

They then realised that they have pushed Gauri off to an extent that Om wasn't even willing to come back home when his wife was pregnant.

Meanwhile, in Germany, Gauri was standing in the balcony looking at the city while Om came with two cups of coffee and handed one to her. They both stood beside each other staring at the beautiful city with a serene smile on their lips thinking that this day would have never come if they had stayed at OM.
