IB Episode Nuances

I always wanted to list those little nuances in scenes that make an episode. When I watch a scene, I keep wondering, if those little variations one notices on screen comes from the writer by spelling it out for an actor to perform or it is added on by actors playing it. If it belongs to the director's vision/writer/actor, each can credit themselves accordingly. Its for THEM.

One such scene that I'd mention is about the time when after Fruit Punch, Shivay and Anika wake up together and today's scene where they are happy to cuddle off to sleep. From an onlooker's point of view it's amazing to see the transition in their relationship. It is so simple yet powerful to see the intimacy translate in the simplest way as Anika bonds with Shivay by the slight touch of her fingers on one hand over his on her shoulder. It's beautiful. Such cuteness makes the scene so endearing.

Another would be the scene where Anika keeps multiple alarms hoping to get that never ending 5 mins ka beauty sleep. I for one can relate to this ENTIRELY.

Shivay banging himself a little on the corners of the bed makes me wonder if the scene only demanded Shivay to open his eyes and realize it was not Oberoi mansion or if that slight banging was also written out on paper to add the nuance of disorientation/lack of cognition in the new place.

The ande waala bread/French toast reminded me of Kangana from Queen, French toast only found in India.

The new house with its greenery is beautiful beyond words. I love the way Shivay and Anika wave at each before he goes out. There is charm in this domesticity, something we did not witness when they were packed in OM.
Their kitchen looked very much like the place where Rudy was strapped to the bomb.

Shivay dealing with bureaucracy is dream come true. SSO with his Oberoi tag . The mayor knew him and the Govt official didn't. Warna majaal hai kinhi ki to sit that way with legs on the table in front of SSO??. Tad exaggerated but maybe there are such namoones' too.

Overall I like the nuance where it is taken care of to maintain Shivay bearing the dejected low sentiment yet trying to be cheerful by taking the new development in his stride, he even mentions to Omru that they MIGHT turn resourceful for the family eventually. I loved the dialogue given to Om where he goes like "Tu mere saamne hota na...In the usual scenario one expects him to finish the line with ek thappad lagata or something to that effect but on Shivay demanding to know he says Zor se gale lagata and not let you leave. I loved Rudra's reaction too as to what Om might say to Shivay. That surprising expectant look he gives to Om to know what he might say is another lovely nuance.

I loved the super fast transition from "Ab Shivay Singh Oberoi sabzi khareedega? To Haan Khareedega. More than Shivay, I am feeling so restless that Shivay is using up all his cash, pehle at the phone store... tod todke identifying and buying his brand and Keep the change with the sabzi guy.

Though there was nothing new in Shivika's visit to Ahaana and her hubby's home, I can't believe I sat through the episode to watch ShivayAnika. Just saying this cos it was Smiriti and her character of her first show that eventually landed me on IF 8 years ago. That's a long time now.

Anika is bad at mathematics, she can't speak fluent English, she has a weird vocabulary, all this is part of her characterization. She can't cook, she can't wake up early, and her lack of qualities that society approves as that of an ideal wife is definitely refreshing. Having said that, I'd still want her to be DOING something she is good at. It can be her catering orders or event management or anything that portrays HER talent. As of now, her only job is to be the support to Shivay. It's all taken in good spirit. But, man or woman, kuch toh talent hoga that one can be proud of.

NOTE to Readers
Would like to hear from people who can keep the discussion/responses civil.
I haven't talked about all characters that appeared in today's episode. So this is not a discussion on episode.
I've talked about three/four characters and hence can't fit the discussion in one actor's AT.

Lovely post.
About the nuances, always wondered if it was written, it is the director or the actors who give their little touches to the scene to make it authentic.

Anika is a great planner, recalled the ratatouille dish name perfectly and turned out a good pot of alu puri. She burnt the pasta and served it to Shivaay the first time.

REfreshing to see her attempt to cook a decent meal, sure she will turn out a good dish some day just as Shivaay predicts. Lol. As for being late lateef, waking up late, she will get past that or Shivaay already deals with it. He is an early riser and cant do without his morning cuppa of Americano.

Anika is fearless, loyal, honest and can sense a chantomai a mile away, these qualities have stood her in good faith. She can go back to being his organizer or set right those lazy louts at the govt office.

IT was a balaned episode today of the Obros, Rikara and Shivika. The phone tod scene and the subzi is epic. The 3 bros... ah... broke my heart to see them like that... trying to joke despite the tears threatening to ruin the convo.

First and foremost the disclaimer you put at the end is so funny😆
But much needed 😆

Same as you I like the simple nuances they put in each scene, be it shivika light touches, annika touching SSO's chest, suit etc, SSO always holding annika's hand or touching her upper arm in almost all scenes...
Even I have noticed these simple things which make a scene even way more beautiful 😳

Personally I really loved annika yesterday, more than cuteness there's an innocence and a childish annika coming out😆 lately

Though SSO really indulges and pampers her a lot😆

We all have wanted annika to work since long now, but let's see what CVs will give us😆- zero expectations there

Jiske bhi hain yeh nuances all this really elevates the scenes woh warmth aata hai aapna pan aata hai and realistic bhi lagta hai these chotu chotu touches elevates the scenes make them special and make us go all AWW and be so amazed at their journey and yeh kahan aa gaye hain. i am so proud of their journey and their story and how we are still progressing. each day there is somethign more to find to explore to fall in lvoe with . it is both ways us as viewers too and them as shivaay and anika with each other too

Another would be the scene where Anika keeps multiple alarms hoping to get that never ending 5 mins ka beauty sleep. I for one can relate to this ENTIRELY. again i think everyone will relate to this the best part is there is no pressure of any sort on her this is her own wish her own marzi she isn't being forced to fit in this mould of perfect biwi in anyway this is coming all from herself.she wants to take care of him be this ideal woman but have her shortcomings too and she is so well aware of them yet there is such a causal approach to it from both of them LOVE LOVE LOVE it. best was her so confidently saying nahi bhi hua toh aap kaunsa kuch kehne wale ho still am gonna try and him going yeah we will see kal kaunsa door hai so so so cute and perfect

Shivay banging himself a little on the corners of the bed makes me wonder if the scene only demanded Shivay to open his eyes and realize it was not Oberoi mansion or if that slight banging was also written out on paper to add the nuance of disorientation/lack of cognition in the new place.again that just added so much to the scene i felt for him in that moment yet it was so realistic ke he is not used too to the room yet and missing his purana room and ghar too where he spent all his life i feel it was more an NM touch

Anika is bad at mathematics, she can't speak fluent English, she has a weird vocabulary, all this is part of her characterization. But, man or woman, kuch toh talent hoga that one can be proud of. i Love how unusual this girl is and kudos for them for breaking the mould. i don't like people saying she has no job sorry just caz she wants to be a perfect housewife for now doesn't mean ke koi akaam hi nahi hai.. this is what she lacked all her life a place she can call her own this is why she is all khilli khilli this is her space her OWN with her loving hubby. also supporting shivaay itna bhi bura nahi hai i toh love how she goes all out to protect him to support him but yes her joining him in work would be icing on cake so far am very very very satisfied with this track:)) 😃😃😃

Thank you Nim_Var.
She and him both acknowledge her shortcomings without him intimidating her and she feeling intimidated by the fact. Yet she is WILLING to try and that's what is important . Shivay doesn't expect her to do all this but the fondness in his eyes FOR her when he gets overwhelmed at her attempts FOR HIM.

Beautiful journey.

He is running low on energy and in spirits. Yet they try to acknowledge their own loss and attempt to make peace with the situation they are in. And that is what a true relationship is.

Its the feeling of BELONGING. She is glowing in the warmth of his love for her, their love for each other and trying to make him feel special by her antics. Its her way of cheering him up. ALso, she feels she has more responsibilities now that they are out on their own. She is trying all this now that she has something to look forward to: Her husband, her home, sharing the burden or say contributing to the purpose of buiding their little home that she can call HERS.

Though SSO really indulges and pampers her a lot😆
Husband goals indeed]
