*Chapter 1*




Annika was at the airport waiting to board her flight. All she could think about right now was Shivaay. She always wondered how he was. Was he still in love with her? Has he moved on ? Did her dad told him she was coming back to mumbai ? She was lost in her own thoughts when she heard the boarding announcement to her flight. While she was walking towards the boarding gate, she felt someone's hand on her shoulder. When she turned back, she surprisingly saw her good friend, Priyanka. Priyanka was shivaay's little sister. She and Annika use to hang around all the time when Annika was in Mumbai. She was happy to see her, because deep inside her she was hoping to know more about shivaay current status.

Hi Annika ! Shouted Priyanka. Long time no see!! You legit dissapeared yaar ! How are you? How are uncle and aunty ? Are ok ? you look sick ?

I'm fine Pri ! How are you ? What were you doing in london ? Is everything ok ? How's Shiv...

Annika stopped herself. She thought it would seem too much desperate to ask about shivaay right now. But Priyanka knew her. So she only answered her last unfinished question.

Shivaay bhaiya is good. He misses you a lot. He always asks me if I have any news about you.

Annika, despite he anger towards Shivaay, felt relieved that he still cares for her.

By the way Annika, I heard what happened. But you know what I really felt bad for ? That you didn't even bother to tell me about it. We were so close. But still, I learned it from Shiv bhai and not from you. You know na that you can always count on us for everything. Also, shiv told me that you were blaming yourself but it's not your fault ! I know what happened is really bad and sad but still, it wasn't your fault !

Annika felt sad and angry on what she just said.

Pri I don't want to talk about it right now please. Oh and tell Shivaay that if he cared so much he could've atleast call me. He knew I needed him the most at that time but still he let me go. Nevermind. I was happy to see you Pri. Hopefully we'll meet soon.

Saying this Annika walked towards the plane leaving Priyanka standing there in shock.




It was now around midnight and Annika finally landed in Mumbai after her nine hours exhausting flight. She was walking towards the exit door when she saw him standing there. They were both shocked to see each other. Even though Annika was mad at him, she felt like everything she ever wanted was right there in front of her eyes.

But did he felt the same way she did ? What was he doing here ? Was he still mad at her ?

It was intriguing as well... Being best friends and in love will complicate situations if not handled properly.. i am guessing some thing of this has complicated their relationship...

I am looking forward for more of their interactions to know each of their thoughts !

*Chapter 2*

They both stood there in shock. Five years. Five long years. She looks gorgeous he thought. Should I try speak to her ? Will she even talk to me ? I can't let her leave without talking to her. I have so much to tell her. Annik...
He stopped as someone shouted his name from behind. It was Priyanka, whom he had come to pick up at the airport. Hi bhai !! Hi.. hi.. Annika she said haltingly. But Annika didn't answer as she was still lost in Shivaay. Bhai should we go ? Asked Priyanka.
Shivaay didn't want to leave but what will he say to his sister ? You go home I have to talk to the woman I love more than my life but whom I gave to someone else because she didn't love me ? She won't understand and neither would Annika. He looked at Annika one last time as if he was trying to soak her beauty inside him with his deep blue eyes and left with a heavy heart leaving Annika behind.

It was around 2 am but Annika couldn't find any sleep. Her heart was still beating fast from what happened at the airport. Even if she didn't want to accept that feeling of hers, she felt relieved that she finally saw her Shivaay and moreover that he was ok. Atleast she thought he was ok. What she didn't know is that what happened with her has been eating shivaay from the inside. Since it happened, he again became the stone singh oberoi who has no feelings, or emotions. She thought about what was he doing right now. I'm so stupid, she said. He must be sleeping.

But Shivaay was way more restless than Annika was. All he could think of was how much he missed her. She was looking breathtaking at the airport, he thought. I wish I could take you in my arms and tell you that I'll make everything right again. I wish I could kiss you and take away all your sorrows. I wish I could talk to you. I know I should've been there with you Annika and I'm so sorry I wasn't. Should I call her ? Won't it look weird to call her at this time ? Nevermind I'm sure she's jet lagged anyway. Shivaay picked up his phone, ready to call her, when he stopped. What am I gonna say to her ? I'll think about that later I just need to hear her voice right now, he thought. He called her.

Hello ? Annika said in her sleepy voice. Shivaay's heart skipped a beat as he heard her melodious voice after what seemed ages to him. Tears filled up in his eyes. Who's this ? Annika asked impatiently. Shivaay wasn't able to utter a word out of his mouth. Still he gathered all his courage and said Annika' in his husky voice. That simple word had so many emotions gathered all together. It had the five years old wait, the impatience of talking to her, all the love he wants to shower her with, the happiness of finally hearing her voice, but mostly the sadness of not being together.
Shivaay ? She asked. Is everything alright ? It's so late. Why are you still awake ? Shivaay smiled at her cute antics. Even though she was mad at him and they hadn't spoken a word to each other in the last five years, she was still worried about him and scolded him like she use to do. Hello Shivaay ? Answer me dammit ! Is everything ok ? Shivaay ?
Tears found their way to Shivaay's cheeks.

I missed you, he said.
