“Why aren’t Bollywood actresses supporting Deepika? - Upala KBR
Part One||
"Mr. Oberoi, Mr. Oberoi, what do you think? Who is behind all this?"
"Mr. Oberoi, tell us how are you feeling right now?"
"Mr. Oberoi, do you suspect anyone?"
Media had thrown their usual bunch of questions over the one, who was handling everything from the Oberoi family, Shivaay Singh Oberoi. He rubbed his forehead vigorously, trying to keep his calm but these people were hell bent on bringing out worse out of him.
"Have you totally lost it? Do you people have a bit sense of humanity? I think you really don't because if you had, then you wouldn't have been asking these silly questions which are actually cruel at this point of time."
Shivaay turned to look behind and sighed inwardly, as Tia stepped in rescuing him from the place he hated being now. He nodded generously at her for intervening in between when he wasn't able to bring himself for any answers.
"Miss. Kapoor, neither the questions are silly nor they are cruel. Don't underestimate media too much but I must say, you really are a good friend who is standing by Mr. Oberoi in such time like a rock."
Not only Shivaay and Tia but every head in the hall tilted at the entrance, when a strong voice boomed in their ears.
"Who the hell are you?" Tia advanced towards the person at the door, flaunting the highest pitch she had got.
"You are forgetting basic mannerisms Miss. Kapoor. Don't worry. I don't mind teaching."
Tia inhaled sharply, as if was suppressing her anger at the insult, some random person had just thrown at her.
"Youuu..."
"By the way, I am Anika, Special Crime Branch. From now, I'll be handling the murder case of Miss. Priyanka Singh Oberoi."
Silence echoed in the hall of Oberoi Mansion. Silence hadn't seemed as scary as it did, now. Media changed their centre of attraction, running towards Anika capturing her sight.
"Ma'am why has SCB involved in this? Special Crime Branch doesn't take normal cases. So does this mean, murder of Priyanka Oberoi isn't a casual one?"
"No murder is casual. A murder is a murder. Miss. Kapoor was partially right. You people are being quite insensitive." Anika flared, yet her stance not shifting a bit. She glanced at Shivaay once, who had looked up to her with a certain relief in his eyes.
"No Ma'am. I did not mean it. I simply want to know the reason, why SCB has taken up this case."
"Because this is a high profile case. Do I need to explain how? Hope it answers all your curiosities." Anika put a full stop to the never ending questions of media, asking them to shut their cameras off and to leave as soon as they could.
"Hello, Mr. Oberoi."
"Hi."
"I would need you to send the unnecessary people off here. I have to start my investigation with your family." Anika quickly informed him observing around.
"Yeah." Nodding, he called for Khanna. He did not have to tell much to Khanna. Khanna acknowledged him and went to finish the work off.
Anika stood still, gazing around the place with her professionally alert eyes.
"Miss. Anika. I... I mean my family is still under shock." Shivaay began, and ended in low voice.
"I know, Mr. Oberoi. I know my work." Anika wasnt harsh but she was stern. She was an experienced one in the field she was working. Shivaay moved his head upwards down, agreeing to her.

Part Two||
Anika walked up to where Oberoi family was sitting and grieving.
"Mrs. Jahnavi Singh Oberoi." Anika called. "I need to speak to you. Every head snapped at Anika at that. "Just to you." With that, she gazed at Shivaay.
"Badi Ma won't go anywhere alone with you." So far, Shivaay was controlling a lot himself but not everything... he would not tolerate everything especially when his family was yet to overcome the loss... the loss of a Oberoi... the loss of the only daughter of Oberoi's... the loss of Priyanka Tej Singh Oberoi.
Anika shut her eyes. Not liking the tone he used for her, she retorted. "I think it would be better for you to co-operate Mr. Oberoi. Why do I feel that you aren't interested a bit in finding out your sister's murderer?"
No matter how much he hated the way, this newly arrived lady, was behaving, Shivaay couldn't say a word after that.
"Shivaay." Jahnavi said speedily wiping her tears. "I am ready."
"Your room?" said Anika glancing around once. Jahnavi nodded before she got up and made her way towards her room followed by Anika.
Ticking of the clock, were the only audible voice in the silent room along with weeping of a mother who had just lost her daughter in a very unconventional way. Anika stood in a corner, with her hands folded to her chest giving Jahnavi time to compose herself.
Picking Priyanka's photoframe from the side table, Jahnavi asked hysterically. "How could someone do that to my daughter? She was as pure and innocent as a newborn. She never even thought about harming anybody and someone... killed her?" Bearing a loss is never easy as it has been often said, death is harder on those who are left behind.
"Ma'am, I know what are you going through but I want you to calm down please." Anika's voice came out much soft than she intended to make it.
Hearing Anika, Jahnavi looked at her as Anika walked towards her. Merely nodding, Jahnavi took a moment to wipe her tears. "I want to find out my daughter's murderers. I am ready to help you in whatever you want. Just get me those who killed Priyanka." Anger bubbled in Jahnavi's eyes.
"Very well," said Anika. "Was anything unusual happening here from some days? With Priyanka or anybody else?" Anika started her investigation.
Jahnavi thought for a while, recalling every incident occured in their lives in past few days. She did not seem to remember anything suspicious. She shook her head in denial.
"I think you are probably too upset to remember it now. If you remember anything, here is my card. Call me." Anika handed over her card to Jahnavi. Deciding to give Jahnavi some time, Anika turned to leave Jahnavi alone when Jahnavi did not seem in a state to help.
Reaching the door, Anika was almost about to step out when she heard Jahnavi.
"Anika, wait."
