I don't know where to start or what to think because at this moment, my brain has flown away to do some hip hop dance and hasn't given me any time about its return.
I mean, WHAT ON GOOD LORD'S NAME DID I EVEN WATCH?! WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! IS IT REALLY THE GREAT SHIVAY SINGH OBEROI?
Before I talk about anything else, I just want to give a huge round of applause to Nikita Anand AKA Pinky Singh Oberoi for the tremendous performance today. As much as I hate her in the show, I can't deny the fact that she's extremely talented as an actor and an utter sweetheart in real life. Have seen a couple of interviews of hers and she's a very down to earth person. So no matter how much I hate her in the show, I will be doomed if I don't appreciate her effort she put in to bring such an intense and repulsive side of Pinky Singh Oberoi. What an outstanding performance, Nikita Anand, take a bow! š
Coming to the episode, to those of us who doubted and bashed Gul and Harneet and had dreaded this entire separation track, I think this is their way of giving us the answer that it is high time we trust and have complete faith in them in whatever they're doing with IB, after all, they're the producer and writer of the show. I mean, what a striking way to wrap up the "Naam, Khoon, Khandan" track and dawn the realization upon SSO, ya Allah, I'm utterly speechless!
The smooth stretch of the Pinky-exposed and Truth Revelation scene was so justified by the nasty shades of Pinky that came into light and Shivay's way of taking such a massive and intense blow, his vexed attitude towards Pinky as well as his realization about Anika's sacrifices, value and love for him and in his life. This entire lie that Shivay is the illegitimate son of Shakti and Kamini, Pinky's jealousy and insecurity, her greed for name, blood and lineage, her utter hatred and cruelty towards Anika that pinky revealed today just threw Shivay off balance, and that's when he had finally realized what this girl had done for him, and to what extent she has gone just so he doesn't splinter into fragments. He has finally understood that while he has chased after money, class and status and have always sat and valued only rich people in life, this girl named anika has proved to be much more affluent without even having a surname, money or influential background, just by owning a heart of gold! What a beautiful way GulNeet have made Shivay realize how insignificant Name, Blood, and Lineage is and how remarkable and sufficient it is just to have a pure heart possessed by Anika that only wants the good in people and is ready to go to any extent to see her man (and loved ones) happy...
And of course, the scene of the day is at that fancy gazeboš³
"Sab kuch kiya, baas bharosa nahi kiya"...
Just the way he uttered that one line literally ripped his outer shell and displayed his affliction, inner turmoil as well as how meretricious and worthless he felt infront of her. And Anika's restlessness and fear that he would break down any moment and her desperation to tell him that he's not at fault at all, and the way Shivay held her face ever so tenderly as he wiped her tears while making the much needed promise that they would never hide anything from each other and would conquer every obstacles life throws at them together, was so precisely and flawlessly crafted!
"Shivay..."
How Anika whispered his name looking into his eyes... it was a reassurance for herself that he is alright and that all the barriers have indeed been broken for them to finally reunite
"Maath jao tum"...
Despite knowing that she's just going home, the blow had been so intense that he couldn't see her walk out of the place, hence, he held her hand as he whispered timidly that came out nothing but as a plea for her to always be by his side and never leave him to himself to deal with the lonely life ever again...
AND WHEN HE KNEELED DOWN TO PROPOSE, I LITERALLY HAD TO COVER MY MOUTH TO CONTROL THE HORRENDOUS SOUNDS (THAT EXPLODED FROM MY MOUTH ANYWAY) and literally had the urge to pause the video and fly off to dance in the air before i start againš
And last but not the least, the cake feeding partāŗļø that intense gaze of Shivay for Anika as he ate the cake from her hand
I love how Anika blushes like a red tomato even after so many months of their marriage.
Every single gesture and every single stare of this man screamed pure and incomprehensible love for his lady, that I have never seen in his eyes ever before. He has started to see Anika from a whole new angle and I'm just ravishing every bit of it!
Hands down, Nakuul, Surbhi, and Nikita Anand nailed the episode today, from every way possible...
