Chapter 2
"What the hell is this Shivaay?!" Tej Singh Oberoi threw the Dancing Star trophy into the dustbin angrily.
Shivaay at once jumped to take it when Tej stepped in between looking at him dangerously.
"Don't you dare." Shivaay clenched is his fists angrily.
"I had told you Shivaay that I don't like you participating in cultural activities. But you! Tumne toh Oberoi khandan ka naam!" He looked away disgusted.
Shivaay gritted his teeth, "Till now I -"
Anika who was standing quietly at the corner of the room decided to intervene.
"I'm sorry Tej Uncle." She held Shivaay arm and shook her head. "It's actually my fault. I forced him to participate in the competition." She said looking down.
"Anika I know that you're Shivaay's best friend but remember your limits. Don't cross them." Saying that, Tej Singh Oberoi stomped off.
He jerked his hand away angrily. "Why did you stop me Anika? I would've just given it back to him. I've had enough of him seriously. For how long will I live according to his thoughts and preferences huh? Because of him I'm doing management studies you know." Shivaay shook with anger. He turned around grabbed a vase and threw it shattering it into a million peices.
Anika looked at him helplessly. She had witnessed a lot of Shivaay-Tej fights. In all their fights, Tej would tell Shivaay his thoughts and what he disapproved of and Shivaay wouldn't say anything but vent out his frustrations and anger on OmRu or me. And even if he opened his mouth to say anything, Tej would give him a glare saying that the conversation was over and would walk away.
~~~Shivaay and Anika had come out for a light walk as Shivaay was still hung up on the argument he had with Tej.
"Cheer up, Shivaay. For how long will you keep on thinking about it? We need to celebrate that you won the competition!"Anika said cheerfully.
"Yeah right. The trophy is lying broken in the dust bin." Shivaay said blankly.
"That isn't going to change the fact that you won." She held his hand.
"What do you want Anni?"
"Treat!" She said smiling wildly. "There an ice cream parlour. Chalo." She grabbed Shivaay's arm and started towards it when Shivaay held back. She turned around confused, "You sure Sam wouldn't mind? Us? Alone?" He said with an expression which Anike couldn't quite comprehend.
She looked away hurt and let of of his hand. Shivaay came beside her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder muttering, "Just kidding" with small smile.

"I guess I'll have vanilla?" Anika looked at Shivaay through the corner of her eye.
"Man, that's so boring. Like seriously."
She hit Shivaay on the shoulder. "Really? And you having chocolate all the time is fine?"
"Shivaay Sin-" Anika raised her hand, "Stop, please. I've been hearing this SSO wale dialogues for ages. Care to improvise them a bit?"
Shivaay rolled his eyes, "One chocolate and one vanilla." He ordered.
Anika giggled before saying as she took her ice cream, "Isn't it funny how we always have the same conversation before buying ice cream, Shiv? No matter how much we argue over these ice cream flavors you always end up having chocolate and me vanilla."
"True." He laughed.
"Waise.. Tia ka kuch hua?" She asked blankly.
"What do you think?" He sat up straight.
"Listen Shivaay, if you really like her why don't you just go and ask her out?" She said placing her ice cream cup down on the table.
"It's not that easy, Anni. You think she'll like me? After all, she's Tia Kapur."
"Mere samne toh badi tadi marte ho that you're Shivaay Singh Oberoi. Girls are dying to be with you and stuff. And here when it comes to Tia, your crush tumhari itni phat rahi hai." She chuckled.
Shivaay brushed her off, "You really don't have a problem if I date Tia? I mean.. since you like-" Anika's smile vanished.
"Why would I care?" She looked at him in the eye as Shivaay shrugged. "Nah just asked."
Anika shook her head and said. "It's getting late, we should head back to our rooms."
Hey. I know it's been long since I updated anything. And I don't think I'll be able to update anytime soon either. Classes have started. It'll be hectic until december. But I had this little part written down already so posting it. I had this in my phone and didn't realise how short it was until I posted it. 😲 Hope you like it. :)
