Chapter 1 :
Pink - Mallika
Let me take you back in time, when I had cast my fourth spell, yes the special one.
Smiles were exchanged as the guests settled. Arranged Marriage meetings were the most awkward for the two in question and most casual for the rest of the family members. He gave a tight-lipped smile. How he regretted saying a yes! He hadn't even taken the care of seeing the photograph of the lady with whom his alliance was supposed to be fixed. His brothers gave teasing smiles. He wore a straight smile his eyes warning them.
A lady in her early thirties, wearing a pink richly embroidered salwar suit complemented by a cream duppatta left on the side elegantly, entered with a tray in hand. The moment he saw the tray, he looked away mocking the clichd tradition. Only then he realised he hadn't seen the face. He looked up, but her back was facing him, all he could make out was her perfect figure but not the face!
His family members spoke on how they loved her the moment they saw her picture and biodata.Specifically his mother and Daadi, who were enchanted by everything about her.
"Humaare taraf se toh poori poori haan hai! Shivaay ko bhi ladki pasand hai! Aur janam patri bhi match hai." His mother spoke up. He almost coughed aside at that , he hadn't even seen the photographs his mother had given him. But this what he wanted right? Marry a woman of his family's choice. Yea, he personally wasn't interested in this marriage concept. He found it totally crazy after seeing the two elder couples in his family. He had obviously had a life as a normal man, with affairs and girlfriends. But never had any affected him. Never felt the need to marry. In fact in his opinion marriage was simply an added responsibility. But then he had to marry one day, so be it. Hence he had said yes to the first girl his entire family had said yes to. He din't even know her name!
He cursed himself he should have at least gone through her details. But, how would it matter his family was okay, so was he. After all that mattered more to him.
He was so lost in thoughts that he dint realise until his brothers patted his shoulder.
"Arey jaa...kya sharma raha hai..jaa Baat kar ke aa... Aakhir tum dono ko bhi ek doosre ke baare mein pata hona chaiye. !" His mom spoke as the other laughed.
Great! Shy? And he! He rolled his eyes, going up the stairs behind her. As he was going upstairs, his message beeped.
*Rudra*
All the Best Bhaiya.
He frowned in exasperation. "Crazy! These Two are ...Never Mind. At one end these idiots and on other end that idiot, she sure din't have manners couldn't she walk with me? At least I could get a glimpse of her face that way."
He finally entered the terrace garden. Though a typically upper middle class house it was beautiful. But, of course couldn't be compared to his mansion. He would have preferred marrying a daughter of a billionaire but his previous engagement to one such lady had only proved to be a big mistake. That Lady was bent upon breaking his family, by wanting to move out into another Mansion with him after marriage. The marriage had been called off the moment she had expressed her wish. So now here he was having said an almost yes, perhaps a YES, to this alliance.
He entered, looking around at the plants. She placed a tray on the table and turned to him with hands folded against her chest.
And I Cast The Spell.
" Hi Mr. Shivaay Singh Oberoi! "
The voice attracted his attention at the same time his eyes widened, at the familiarity of the voice. He turned to look at her. Blinked for a few seconds and finally spoke up-"Tum!"
"Nahi mera Bhoot!" She looked aside.
"What the hell are you doing here!?"he asked bewildered.
She frowned-" Shouldn't I be the one asking you the same? What are you doing here? This is my house."
He loosened the buttons of his coat and put his hands on the sides of his belt. "Damn! Not again! Its You! I said Yes to You!? I mean I m here to see you!? "
"You still haven't seen a psychiatrist, have you!? I m here, see..me Anika!"she scoffed.
"Shut Up!" He exclaimed sitting down on the swing.
"What shut up? I need an explanation... You said yes to me..i mean.."
" hold on...I din't even know the name of the girl, I was supposed to meet here or her face, and that turned out to be you.!" He exclaimed. "In fact you should be the one giving me an explanation.. You said yes!?"
She looked shocked and then sighing in exasperation sat on the other end of the swing. "I did the same.! In fact until yesterday I was in Delhi at a friend's wedding. O God... What have we got ourselves into !" She explained how she had taken no care to see the details her mother had sent her and had simply said a yes cause they were okay with it.
"What Have I got myself into? A Big Mess. After all you are here. Aur jab tum hoti ho museebat apne aap aa jaati hai. What The hell have I got my hands on!!" He his his face in his palms, the swing swaying slightly.
She squeezed her eyes, "O hello..Mr. Baagad Billa, Museebat toh aapki chamchi hai..jahaan aap wahan wo...and...as for ...I mean...when could keep your hands off me?" She smirked looking sideways.
He looked up and then glanced side ways at her."So someone still remembers? Missed me huh!?" He said playfully.
"Miss my juti..! My life has been so peaceful... So much better..!" She exclaimed looking at the cloudy sky. "But ab baadal waapas aa gaye.!"
He frowned. "We had. a pact... We won't speak about the past, din't we?"
Yes please don't, I sighed dreading the consequences.
She gave him a puzzled look, "you called me Museebat!! You started it!"
"I can't believe this, grow up Anika, you are no longer in college! You still play this stupid blame trick!" He shook his head in disbelief.
"Wo meri Marzi...aapko itni MichMichi kyun Mach Rahi hai...!"
"Language Anika!" He exclaimed grumpily. She shook her head sideways.
Oh she loved to irritate him like that, with her Khidkitod words.
He smiled, how he loved it to correct her and taunt her every time for her outrageously weird words.
Both looked at each other and cracked up, into fists of laughter, high-fiving.
And then realising straightened up.
"What next?" Both said on unison.
Nodding their heads they looked ahead, silence engulfing as the two got lost in thinking.
He finally spoke up.." I was thinking..
She cut him off-"yea I know even I was..
He rolled his eyes, "Can you listen? Please. " he added the last word mockingly.
"What if WE marry ?"
She looked at him wide eyed. "One of us will be in jail and the other ...pheewssshh!" She said pointing at the sky.
He chuckled. Might quiet be possible taking into account their past.
"On a serious note, I mean we both were ready to marry complete strangers for the sake of our families... What if the person here was some Psycho instead of me?"
"You are no less!" She pointed out. He shot bullets at her through his eyes.
"But you actually make sense, what of the girl was some Witch or Bimbo like your girl friend back at college? Instead of me. Shivuuu...!" She teased him.
He looked at her dreadful, "Don't say that alright..!" He said covering his ears. She giggled.
The two looked at each other thoughtfully. It actually made sense.
"Fine!" She shook her head.
"Fine!" He gave a satisfied smile.
"But...!" Both said in unison turning to the other.
Both smiled.
"What?" Both asked in unison again.
Shaking their heads they looked aside.
"Ok ...you say!" She said pointing to him.
"Our families know only the fact that we were just known to each other at college."
"Nothing more nothing less." She completed and they shook hands.
"And...past remains past...!" He added.
"Perfect...But I need to make son more points clear...like its 50-50 you don't act smart at anything Mr.TadiBaaz.!"
"And you over smart!" He gave back.
She made a face. "Typical You"
He ran his hands over his head in his signature style and she giggled. Only then did they realise they were still holding on to each others hands. He looked at her hand and then at her. She sighed slightly taking her hand away and her lashes fluttered. He looked on noticing the change. Since when did she become so shy of my Simple Touch? She looked sideway wondering why she felt those butterflies in stomach.
This is complicated ! Both sighed in their heads.
The families were ever as happy as they could be. The preparations began and within two weeks the two were married.
These two are the most stubborn people I have ever come across. So this way the two decided to tie the knot. Let's go to time after their wedding. When Mr and Miss Strangers were finally Mr. And Mrs. Newly Weds.
P.S
Complicated? The title said it all.😆
Slowly the story and their equations from past will reveal.
Hope you all liked it.
