Shivaay stood staring at the screen shocked at what all he had witnessed just moments back. And still, he couldn't completely believe the words that were coming out of his mother's mouth, still reeling from the shock he was thankful that his duplicate had come on the right time to save his wife from getting more abused. He just kept staring at the screens as his duplicate consoled his wife and made her sleep in their bed, came to him and was now talking to him via the camera. Even though grateful to this man for saving Annika, his mind was stuck on 2 important things, his mother's plan for Annika and this duplicate and also his words stating that there was a similar bruise two days back; And how had 'HE' known about it, When did he see /meet Annika and How the hell did he{Shivaay} miss it and did not see it?
Going through all these conflicting thoughts he almost failed to see a movement in the shadows, But when he looked at it clearly his face which had a confused expression turned into anger and then into extreme concern in a matter of few seconds.
There in his bedroom, the duplicate was looking at his Annika with a peculiar expression on his face [that was the cause of his anger] and when he looked at Annika clearly he could see that she was beginning to get her nightmares again.
Mahi's P.O.V
What the hell should I do? I am not her husband and I can't get more close to her than this, that would become inappropriate. I am bad but not very bad but even through all this, he couldn't see her suffering through her nightmares. I have to do something to wake her up from this episode. But how to without startling her?
He tried to shake her awake but she just shot up from the bed shouting Shivaay. On seeing Mahi trying to wake her up, hugged him and started crying. Mahi didn't know what to do so he just petted her hair and started swaying from side to side. After her sobs subsided she refused to go back to sleep when Mahi requested her.
M: Ok fine, then I will sing a song for you?
A: God!!No!! Shivaay don't, you want me to sleep peacefully or get nightmares about your bad singing.
M: So I can't sing well?
A: Pfft... You know you can't sing to save a life.
M: Fine! I can't sing but I can play...
A: What?
M: Just lie down and close your eyes and trust me ok?

And then made her lie down When he was about to go to the sofa to sit. Annika just told him to sit on the bed itself. Though Shivaay was relieved to see Annika going back to sleep peacefully, he couldn't help but feel jealous seeing how close Mahi is to her.
In the room,
After Mahi made sure Annika is in deep sleep, he chuckled to himself and turning to one of the cameras in the bedroom. He spoke, "Don't get your panties in a twist old man, I am bad but not very bad to make a move on somebody's wife. And if you haven't noticed, let me show you that I had placed cameras only in this bedroom and not any other bedrooms, to make sure you wouldn't start doubting Annika again. And I also didn't want to give a heart attack to you, thinking about what is happening behind these closed doors.
"So be rest assured, I am acting as you here, if I maintain so much distance with your wife then either my plan would become utter flop or she would think that her husband is rejecting her.
"Good night, go to sleep old man. Saying Mahi got up from the bed and laid down on the couch.
In the cabin,
Shivaay was not able to get even a wink of sleep, thinking of his mother's act, No step-mother's act and feeling utterly betrayed by her who he had worshipped as God. He felt completely drained both physically and mentally.
Shivaay How can she do this to me. This is not the truth she is just lying to Annika I am sure of that there has to be some mistake. It must be a misunderstanding, Yes it must be there is no way this would be the truth. Papa would never so something like this with her. No, I am not illegitimate. But what if I am, what if what she said is the truth, What if Papa really had cheated on her. How will Omru react? Will they accept me? No How can I be selfish and expect them to accept an illegitimate son as their brother? How will I face them after going from here? He broke down crying thinking about all these things and where is he going to go from there on. But the great wall personality of his didn't let him to completely break down after few minutes he started picking up his broken heart as his thoughts started focusing on the fact that Annika is being abused and the inbuilt protective feeling started to suppress his other emotions turning his whole hurt into the Shield he always is.
Next Morning,
Everyone was in the dining hall for breakfast, the duplicate was missing from the mansion.
He also noticed how Pinky showed three fingers to Annika and smirked looking at her turning pale. After this episode, Annika rushed out of the dining hall and was sitting and crying in their private living room in their wing.
Near the entrance of the room, he could also see Om and Rudra looking worriedly at Annika and at each other. Then entering the room slowly as not to startle her.
R: Bhabhi...
Annika immediately wiped her tears and turned to them with a fake smile in place, to which Om frowned.
O: Why were you crying Bhabhi?
A: I was not crying Om, Something just went into my eyes.
R: Bhabhi since everyone treats me like a child, It doesn't mean I m one, We clearly saw what happened in the dining area. So please tell us the truth.
A: I can't tell you.
O: They say pain reduces when the problems are shared.
A: Nothing could reduce mine.
R: Did Bhaiya say anything to you yesterday, Didn't he believe you even after showing the proofs.
A: Nothing like that Rudy, Even before I could talk to him he left somewhere. I didn't get the chance to tell him anything.

Annika had let the press people in and started the drama of Om being illegitimate, While all this Mahi was standing silently and closely scrutinizing Annika.
When the Media started bombarding him with questions, He calmly averted his gaze from her face and faced their cameras,
