I think Gul underestimated the kind of interest the OmRu characters and their counterparts would garner. She thought she can just show them here and there, not do justice to their story. (Like Ayaan or Rehaan in QH or even Aahil for that matter) and she will be given a free pass coz she has her "Usual" story to fall back on?

But it didnt work as smoothly for her as she thought. She is getting major backlash and I guess giving OmRu fans a carrot and a beetroot is her way of trying to pacify them? LOL

Agree preet. It's bitter but true. Though many times in frustration I say kunal should quit but I think gul has definitely given him big break and beautiful look. Nakul was popular and well known GEC face. Leenesh also worked in ssel but his role is not good. SC and neha is known by popular qh. But only kunal who was online known more.

I was fan of male lead from previous show. He is also very talented but his role in next show failed to attract me. He was also second lead in my fav show with small ss but his character was attractive. He found next role as lead with good ss but his role and character in that show could not convince me to watch. I couldn't watch and like him in that show though I still love actor.

So even though I dislike gul for not utilizing kunal to max potential , but still she is the one who made him popular by Omkara character.

Both actor and character make people to fall in love with him.

Either a weak actor or bland character can't attract the fans.

So as a fan I appreciate gul for creating omkara and taking kunal. I am also scare about butchering but still hopeful.

Yes it's his big break acc. to overall TV shows as YEC shows r watched less compared to GEC show but KKJ had fans. Many actors don't take projects in GEC as they don't want to be pillar in women dominated shows. KKJ may have got offers but who wud want to be on a show where he gets only 1-2 lines in d entire episode while d 80% of episodes is overflooded wid over dressed sanskaari bhaasan queens? Kunal's friend n co-star Bharti told in an interview dat she will not do saas-bahu shows n will do GEC only if d role is strong. KKJ was already popular dats why Gul chose him. Vrushy too was already popular so she removed Twinkle n chose Vrushy to attract more audiences. I still believe dat at least 15% people were attracted cuz of KKJ as his fans too waited for him. Gul may have lured Kunal wid exciting role which was really exciting for initial 2 months so Kunal agreed for d offer n also cuz it was promoted as male-focussed show.

Juhi I won't comment but Kunal have the screen test and was then selected he wasn't offered the role on a plate. There were multiple people who had auditioned. And as far as I know (my mama is in this field) the casting director hardly explains the character to the person who is auditioning. Plus Kunal had done a show on Zee Doli Armaano ki as a side character after TBP ended so I don't think he was shy to GEC shows he definitely wanted to become a known face in GEC

About Bharati she might be not actually willing to do GEC but maximum actors who make fun of GECs would join such shows if offered in one go, it is a very big charm to resist

Rudra doesn't victimise Sauyma so he is not interesting enough for Gul either. Om of course is a character they have NO idea how to progress coz they themselves don't know what to do! LOL. So we will continue to see only glimpses of them until one fine day they quit or the show is shut down!

I agree wid u. Kunal got d role cuz he is talented. No doubt regarding dis😊. But his same talent is getting wasted. But I am worried for Kunal d way he is shown in d show right now. He don't deserve to be shown so less. There r many things dat can be shown. Let Om leave d house n struggle to gain game widout Oberoi surname. Let Ishaana reenter n tell him how she was right dat he will come back to her n Om realizing d real struggles of people who r widout elite families. Wat say? Dis can be a good track without any abusive relationship in d name of hot hot romantic scenes. Wow! ur mom in TV industry. Nice.

I agree to your points about Om n Kunal should be given more and can be but then that is something which isn't in the hands of the viewers or actor we can just hope for it
