I think she may have got cold feet about joining. She does not want to be reduced to another Soumya, nor meet the same fate as Ishana. Because after watching this show for 7 months (which she said she does in some IV, which I heard of), she must know how much importance and screen space the other actors and their tracks get. Most of their tracks are suspended in thin air for months.

She hogged most of the SS in her previous show I think. (which I did not watch). After that, she may have been afraid to be reduced to a second lead after being promised a meaty role. Type casting is an issue in the industry. She may have been attracted to a Grey role, but was she ready to play second fiddle to do that role? That is the question?

In a way I am glad, because if she joined she would have taken the rest of the SS and we would never have seen Rudra and Soumya after that. I am really hoping that they bring Vrushika back as Ishana and I think there is merit to that, as people already know her character, and she did have a good chemistry with Kunal. I think they need to make her character less silly and more serious. It may work. But if they STILL have no one oppsite Om then this is not good. I hope they dont choose some unknown untalented hack type person. Someone who would be glad to be a wallpaper and a background noise. I would be very dissapointed if that was the case. But then what is new?

She can't reveal till the directors/ producers reveal so yeh
