@ Red: She did not lack the gusto. If you look at her she did not have her head down in shame but was looking straight at Shivvay with every accusation Pinky threw at her and challenging him to have the guts to take ownership for his actions.This was not her fault and hence not her explanation to give. Shivvay owned this mistake and there was no chance in hell she was going to give him the easy way out by speaking for him. You could see the pain on Om's face not because of Pinky's accusations but because he knew his brother had done Annika a very grievous wrong again and this time beyond redemption. The Oberoi's had treated Annika badly after all she had done for them - starting with Shivvay. It pained him, at that moment, that he was an Oberoi too.

Shivvay was silent because he was actually uncomfortable knowing at that moment that she had been right in telling him not to lie and cheat to his family. That is why he hates and admires her for that - she bravely questions all the wrong actions he takes and in time makes him realize she was right. That was a classic scene again where she has chastised him the second time in one day. She is successful where Om fails that is why Shivvay is so harsh and hard on her. He hates the fact that she makes him see the ugly person he is inside and also the changes she is making in him against his will. She is daring the 'other Shivvay' to come out and be a real man not the brute that was in the room treating her like a rag doll.

@ Pink: Because this is Shivvay's mess and he needs to take ownership of it. Even if she told Pinky what happened you really think Pinky would believe that her 'Hera Jaissa Beta' forced Annika? She was right in looking at Shivvay without saying a word. She does not have to defend herself because she knows Pinky will have to eat her words once Shivvay owns up to what he did. It is not she who needs defending but Shivvay. She did no wrong. Pinky's words cut Shivvay more as today he saw what it felt like for someone to accuse Annika falsely. He does that on an everyday basis so what did he react to Pinky saying it today?? Because in his heart he knew that each and every accusation was false. The slap was the last straw on his momentarily awakened conscience. I always said that Annika only has to be herself for the positive in Shivvay to develop.

Whatever Pinky did was expected out of her,but why did anika stay quiet and listen to all that bakwas?why the hell did she need shivay to stop pinky from slapping her.she didn't even have to say a thing except 'it's your son's fault and you should ask him about it'.

Also middle class has started sounding like a gaali to me.this concept of middle class girls fooling ameer ladke is too much its much more prevalent in tv shows than it is in real life.what does pinky even think that the great sso who doesn't even listen to his family would listen to a wedding planner and marry her

Lastly, why is anika acting like a victim?i know there isn't much that she can do at the moment considering shivay's threats but at least she can plan to turn the tables around.she can maybe start planning a revenge(i know thats too far fetched)but i really want her to be strong and powerful and make shivay suffer.
We know she leaves OM so it's not like she stays and suffers because she is married to him. She has been through a lot so depression, fatigue and tears are expected, it will not make her look like a victim. And I agree with 'Azuria' revenge is a waste of time on people like Shivvay. Getting even is better.

PS- maybe i have drawn conclusions pretty early but i really want something to be in favour of anika as well

They are equals in strenght and strong . Annika knows where she stans with Shivaye, she ha never misbehave with anyone in OM , it has always been Shivaye.

Even in real life a crime has to be commited to be call a crime. If she starts doing that assuming that people at OM will behave badly she will be classified as a stupid person for doing so without cause. Comes cause and effect in play.

Annika is counting how many times he had the chance and he did not use it.

According to sociologist it is the middle class that keeps the norms and order in the society. that is whya Annika will succeed since she stick to the norms set by the society. and thus will become a favorit of all at OM.

Revenge sounds good but dose not lead to happy ends. To take revenge you have to only concentrate on taking revenge you stop living your life and there is no joy in the life. I would rather that she " killing me softly wither her smile" kind a torture.

According to a spoiler she does tell Dadi when they go to her house to bring her to the OM. She states that she was forced and blackmailed to marry him. She tells her all the details including using Sahil as a leverage.
In fact I was laughing at how she insulted him by saying "what is it Shivvay??? Did you not tell your Dadi about your brave manly actions and what you did to me? She did not care to explain then I guess because, even more than Shivvay, she does not consider this a marriage. She has not and will not forget his manhandling and abuse anytime soon for sure. She is shown crying because she is emotionally blackmailed by Dadi to come live at the OM and she does not want to.

Pinky,obviously, won't have listened to anika but she should have atleast tried.when someone comes so close as to slapping you,you don't wait for the culprit to own up to his mistake.you save yourself first!anika wasn't even certain of whether shivay wanted to tell the family about it or not.he hadn't told anika anything about his plans of revelation.her instict should have been to tell everyone the truth rather than wait for the slap and accusations to come and make shivay feel guilty.
I don't think anyone, including Annika, thought Pinky was going to get physical. Heck! I was surprised that she did that and so was Shivvay for that matter. Annika expected hurtful words and anger but not a slap from anyone of the OM elders.

I think shivay and anika,after what has happened in the past two days,don't know what the other person is thinking or trying to do.anika even said that she couldn't believe that shivay would do this.she no longer has the original faith in him. 👍🏼
And that is exactly why she wanted HIM to speak. He knew all the answers even to questions she herself had.
If she had spoken they would have ended up questioning her about Tia's disappearance, why she married etc etc. This was Shivvay's mess and he needed to clean it up. As far as she was concerned she was done with him and his family and I am sure she never intended to ever see them or visit them again. Her faith in him disappeared the day he did not take her call when the second attack happened. This just made it worse

As far as the revenge is concerned,i agree that anika won't be like' i am going to destroy your family' but her brother's life was in danger.she thought that he had died. She wouldn't want to give shivay some silent treatment. It was not a mere tiff between the two of them.she should have some hard feelings against him.
That I completely agree with. In fact I would prefer if she sets the divorce date not him because this is not how any girl should get married and be treated. She should put conditions for staying at OM. I would prefer if she did not stay in Shivvay's room but I know they (CV's)will not do that.

I think her character has been sobered down whereas shivay's has become the complete opposite.

See i won't have minded if it were a normal character but i feel a character like that of anika wouldn't just let things take their own course.

Please don't think that i am bashing the show. I was just expecting a different anika today.maybe things will be different tomorrow.😊😊

I had the same conversation with my Mum today after watching the show, firstly, being middle class does in now way entail you not being wealthy, if you are classed as middle-class, it is key you dwell upon it's definition also, a detail Indian Television seems to dismiss. Being apart of the middle-class social hierarchy, it is a sector where you can be rich but not rich enough, with Anika I assume she is not completely poor, she wears good clothes, works, feeds and fends for her brother and all in all is living a decent life! But being titled Middle-class is no way an insult, people from the Middle class can easily be rich through having a good job in a corporation, being a Doctor, Model, businessman etc, So why is this Marxist term 'Middle class' being used as an insult! Unless you are an aristocrat, Royal etc it is hard to be classed as Upper Class, so it is a situation of normalacy that Anika is middle class, I see it as quite a good place to be in life, not everyone has a penchant for being loaded with Money! I specially questioned Pinky blurting this to Anika, assumingly that she is also from an unstable economic background or at least being uneducated to the extent we see in the show, she would think twice before hurling such comments on someone who would be off an equal economic status if it were not for the fact she is married into artistocracy! I regard myself as being from a middle class background, and I am quite proud of it, many of us are not drowning in money yet we are well educated, have a good job etc. And are still from the middle class, So WHY is this being used as an insult!

I am so sorry that I rambled so much, it just really bugged me how people use words without it's appropriate understanding, and above all that Pinky was the one to say this :'(
