They should have thrown in hints of her being a psycho from the start- instead of making her a Devi or whatever, she could have been "simply" an obsessed person trying to get what she wants, e.g. Rudra.

Devi-nonsense seems to come out of nowhere. Making her Soumya's childhood friend and Soumya knowing she had a screw loose... looks bad on Soumya's character.
