Kind of late on this and I usually don't make posts about this show but something about yesterday triggered me to pen it down.

Not too sure what I really want to term Omkara's character as of now. He's someone who perceives the world totally differently from the rest of oberois yet his perception is flawed in its own way too. His perception is rather rigid. It's either Black or White. Right and Wrong. Now or never. And though all those things seem well and good at first, to an extent, it's not how the real world is shaped. There is a bit of lie in every truth and vice versa. Samewhere specs of grey exists in every white and black picture.

I see many discussing today against Ishana and the hipocrycy she possessed when her and omkara had a face off today. Lucky for me, I support neither and understand that they both have major flaws. Yet Ishana seems to be a better connect to the show because her views of the world prove to be somewhat more synonymous to reality. Omkara's views are too one-dimensional to form that sort of connect. And maybe that's why this show needs the balance of both of their ideologies to make complete sense.

His arguments were correct that truth is more of a choice than a luxury. Yet I think what he fails to realise is that looking beyond the notions of truths and lies is also a choice rather than a luxury. the reasoning of why one lies, trying to understand circumstances and the bigger picture can also be defined as more of a choice than a luxury and omkara at this stage lacks that kind of patience to be able to deduce these issues. With this whole debate of who was correct and who is wrong in this situation, it takes one good speaker and one good listener. And the notion which jumps out to me prominently is that neither is Ishana a good speaker and neither is Om a good listener.

I think what we overlooked in yesterday's episode is how both of them have skills which can support each other to become more realistic and rational human beings. Om is a great speaker for that matter and Ishana listens well from what I've picked out with her very first scenes with Om. And it's about when they both will teach each other those life tools, will they be able to paint a more clearer picture of what they wish to tell one another. And with that said, I can't help but realise the irony of painting a picture, art and Omkara. He's an artist, someone who should understand dimensions and shades well yet that seems to be his weakness for now because of his internal and external influences. His artwork and oberoi mansion is his world and that restriction disables him to recognise the facade the world lives on. I guess we can call it his lack of exposure to the outer world. He's been too protected within his art and imagination and personal upbringing. Contrary to his situation, is Ishana's who is perhaps over-exposed to the hardships of life. She lives life on the terms of 'survival of the fittest' and hence isn't aware of the "good world" which exists in between the larger corrupt world. She is yet to learn who she can open up to. With whom she can be honest to and amongst who she can take off her facade and show her true vulnerabilities.

This situation is quite amusing tbh. Because on one side we see these two characters so stubborn in their own skin. It's all about this way or that way for them and here we are, arguing over the same issue as to what and who is wrong and who is right. Perhaps we need to start embracing the idea that bit of wrong exists in every right.
