So to be honest , up until now, I hadn't really warmed up to Om, because I found him too good to be true, too perfect to be real, but I really liked how in the last few episodes, we see exactly what his flaw is, it is his rigid ideology, like Shivaay says Om " sees the world in black & white" when in reality, the world is a myriad of grey hues interspersed with flashes of black & white.
To borrow a quote from ASOIAF , Om is " pure iron, black and hard and strong, yes, but brittle, the way iron gets. He'll break before he bends". Ishana is the counter to this rigidity, she will teach Om to see life, beyond a spectrum of black & white, because this rigidity will lead to disappointment, human beings are flawed, sometimes we will exceed expectations , sometimes we will barely meet it & many a times, we will fail to meet expectations, But it does not make us bad or evil, just human beings, flawed & beautiful.
On another note, I know a lot of people, don't like Ishana trying to break up Om & Riddhima, but in my opinion, this is interesting.She is morally wrong but she is no mahaanta, she is selfish & doing whatever it takes to better her family & her life.
