I have seen posts where Shivaay was being compared to Arnav, Maan and ETC..

And here I am with a post as to Why Shivaay is not all these..

When the character of Shivaay was introduced, people expected the same angry young man, khadoos, akdoo.. But then Shivaay came in with an entirely different shade of Angry Young Man.. In my terms, he gave a completely new definition to it..

Why because, in how many shows have we seen the angry young man become the most vulnerable person when it comes to his brothers. Now here the question arises.,, Arnav loved his sister a lot too.. I agree. I agree whole-heartedly that Arnav loves his sister a lot. But the circumstances. The circumstances are entirely different. Shivaay has two brothers who are his only living strength in this world. He has a girlfriend but his brothers are his soul. He had seen his Uncle and Aunt fight for every single reason. He had seen the impact it had on his brother Omi. He walked alongside Om through all his difficult times. Om was a drug addict and it pained Shivaay to see Om go into the wrong way. He put his heart and soul into bringing his brother out of the darkness. Which Angry Young Man has done this until date ?? Arnav loves his sister but Shivaay's circumstances are entirely different..

Comparing with Maan. Come on peeps.. Seriously.. I know Maan was an angry young man too. I havn't watched Geet fully but I think he sent his sister abroad though am not sure of that. He statyes with his Dadi. One point I would like to make here. Maan never was a father figure to his younger brother or sister. Shivaay on the other hand, knowing about his Uncle and Aunt, he made sure to shield his youngest brother Rudra from all the problems, showering him with love and care in turn. He never sent Rudra away abroad. He knew that Rudra needed love, a father's love. Shivaay became his hero, his father figure.. Rudra himself calls Shivaay his father figure. Remember, during the hospital scene, he shared with Soumya that he had always spent his night time in Shivaay's room. Such was the love that he showered upon Rudra that usko baap ka kami kabhi mehsoos nahi hua.

And he definitely is not Asad. You people might ask, Asad cares for his brother and siblings too.. Yes, I agree. But then his father wasn't a bad man. He loved all his kids equally. He had two wifes but then he never wanted to cheat Dilshaad. He loved Dilshaad. Here, Tej has an affair with some other woman an he speaks to her about getting a divorce from his wife. Come on !!! What would you have done in Shivaay's place !!! Shivaay cares for his siblings and he loves them more than ever.. A father figure for his brothers.. I dnt blame him for being such a caring yet a hot-headed brother. I dnt say Asad failed as a brother. He was a very good brother. But dnt compare him with Shivaay. Shivaay has gone through much more and done much more..

Shivaay has his own problems too.. Being in the business field, he has to take charge of it and with a mother that persuades him to maje sure he becomes the heir. But he is not interested. He ain't interested in becoming the waaris. He ain't interested in this shit. He doesn't care as long as his brother are happy..And then comes Anika. He might be a man with status arrogance but then he doesn't anyone to come inbetween him and his brothers. And given Anika's antics 😆 he is sure to be furious with her. But then the topic ain't about Anika and Shivaay. Its about Shivaay Singh Oberoi..

Dnt blame Nakul and his acting. He is doing a fine job. What do you expect from a person who is scared of losing his brothers, who is a father figure to his baby brothers, who handles the business, who fights hard to keep the bond between his brothers and family alive !! Nakul is perfect in his expressions. In the start, I was skeptical too but he has improved a lot. Compare the past episodes and now. He has improved a lot.

P.S. Am sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings. But this was something I wanted to pen down since yesterday..

Exactly Sam. When I read that post where people bashed Nakul's acting, I was shocked. Comparision between Shivaay and others. Gul has took the Angry Young Man concept in an entirely different way. And I love the way Nakul is potraying it.
